Posted on the blog today:Let’s start with Chris LaCivita
An enlightening article
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/21/politics/21social.html in the New York Times, “A New Target for Advisers to Swift Vets” by Glen Justice, February 21, 2005, puts forth names that seem to be missing from USA Next’s own website. One name in particular, a Chris LaCivita raises a flag because this is one of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who smeared Democratic Presidential candidate John F. Kerry about his Vietnam experiences. There is so much information on this guy that a separate article will be needed to flesh out who he is.
However, for starters, he received $30,000 in consulting fees from the Swift Boaters, whom now prefer to be called Swift Vets and POW’s for Truth, for writing its disingenuous but effective commercials against John F. Kerry during the presidential campaign. Chris LaCivita and his public relations firm have a long history in Republican politics in Virginia. A brief resume of his political involvements from the 1990s to the present is aptly summarized in Steven Sisson's Blue Dog Tales

Of course there are the two Presidents of the organization, outgoing chair and former celebrity Art Linkletter and incoming chair Charles Jarvis. It’s becoming apparent that this organization is another offshoot of that group of neo-cons who have become to be known as the Mayberry Machiavellis that George W. Bush has surrounded himself with and who are now trying to ruin our country’s government from within.
Another shadowy figure has emerged, William Brindley, who when you search hard enough you learn is the Vice President of the USA Next organization. You won’t learn it from the website though or at least it couldn’t be ferreted out. However, one of our team was able to discover that the website is registered under his name on December 10, 2003. I could venture to theorize that this person is the real guy behind the curtain of all these organizations who operate in the same manner and with the same purpose. Stay tuned. We have only begun to unbury the bodies.
For those who don't know what USA Next is, it's a bogus senior citizens organization that is trying to attack AARP because of its opposition to Bush's Social Security privatization scheme. They are trying to smear the senior citizen organization by spreading rumors that AARP condones gay marriages and late term abortions. Give me a break. These are the same clowns those purple heart band aids, smearing Kerry's Vietnam service, came from as well.
