Why are Gannon's archived porno pages disappearing?
Can anyone tell me how that can happen?
I thought once they were 'grabbed' and archived, it was a permanent thing...

Now, they're disappearing... only finding a couple now and those are the still live sites so I'm sure they're going to disappear real soon too
The very worst of them (the 40+ porn pics for one) seem to be gone or blocked via some kind of 'robot'?

What's going on? Did anyone get their own grab of the pages or is that even possible? (I'm no pro on this kind of stuff)

...cause it won't be long and the Reprobate Revisionist cant will be that these sites were never in existence, all products of sick Democrat minds -- you know, the usual lies.

Is there anything we can do to stop this?

2. Do you really have to ask why?
My expectation is that the pictures will disappear from most, if not all, "archives" (places where stuff is freely and/or openly available on the web) and that the popular search engines will be "spammed" to push any remaining (legitimate) links deep into the results "stack" -- if these search engines aren't defeated in other ways.

These days, for many people, if they can't find it (easily) on the net, then it pretty much doesn't exist.

There are "safe" archive sites, I believe, but I wonder for how long... and how "safe" they are even now.

And if the material is protected (from unauthorized distribution), then making it available without permission becomes a poor option -- unless one is totally isolated from legal action.

6. LOL Was a technical question over a social one
Of COURSE the Reprobates are going to try to scrub everything they can and rewrite history!

I'm just surprised that once-archived captures are gone.

If you check out the links from AmericaBlog:

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/02/man-called-jeff.html

most of them are now completely changed - broken, blocked, not containing the photo's, graphics, pages, etc that were original.

So the evidence is gone... fits in well with, also, JimmyJeff's threat to sue the blogs.
"WHAT porn websites? SLANDER!
Pay up, now, liberal dogs!'

How can these people call themselves Christian (for the most part) when ALL THEY DO IS LIE AND CHEAT?!

9. This has been going on for
some time, and with some much more important things than these pictures.

Personally, I save to the hard drive and then to CD (or DVD) anything that I want to keep record of. But this will never amount to much in way of evidence to convince others, not in these days of photoshopping, etc.

In the past, I just kept links, only to discover that they were replaced with new material (the google cache gets updated, you know) or no longer existed. (And this even when much older material was available at the site that had hosted the pages.)

Information is power... if one is the kind of creep that uses it in this way.

3. google deletes information from cache and index on request
http://www.google.com/webmasters/3.html

"2. I don't want Google to keep a cached version of my page.
~snip~
Note that the change will occur the next time Google crawls the page containing the NOARCHIVE tag (typically about once a month). If you want the change to take effect sooner than this, the site owner must contact us and request immediate removal of archived content"

http://www.google.com/remove.html

"Need to remove content from Google's index?
~snip~
Google stops indexing the pages on your site only at the request of the webmaster who is responsible for those pages or as required by law.
~snip~
Note: If you believe your request is urgent and cannot wait until the next time Google crawls your site, use our automatic URL removal system.
~snip~
Doing this and submitting via the automatic URL removal system will cause a temporary, 90 day removal of your site from the Google index
~snip~
Option 2: If you do not have any access to the server that hosts your image please visit http://www.google.com/dmca.html for instructions on filing a removal request. "

so if he has copyright on those images he can even get them removed from someone elses server or internet page or cached page.

8. "Archived" where and by what/whom?
If you made a copy onto your PC hard drive or mirrored them to a web server on the 'net, it will be there til you delete it.
