Dubya bars Camilla from White House ..because she is a divorcee

GEORGE Bush has banned Camilla Parker Bowles from the White House - because she is a divorcee.

The unprecedented snub has effectively sabotaged Charles's plan to take his bride on a Royal tour of America later this year.

The trip would have been the pair's first official tour as a married couple.

But the US President - a notoriously right-wing Christian and reformed alcoholic - told aides it was "inappropriate" for him to be playing host to the newly-weds, who are both divorcees.

I suspect it's bullshit. He's met Charles before. I can't imagine that the crew of troglodytes and serial torturers he surrounds himself with haven't racked up a few divorces of their own.

I'll wait to hear this from a few more sources.

It has to be a joke, I don't care if the Sunday Mirror is a major British paper. Not even Bush would ever be that stupid, and even if he were, those around him would quickly correct such stupidity, as they'd know just what a horrendous gaffe that would be.

The article states that the decision has more to do with the fact that while Americans loved Diana, they consider Charles to be dull and aloof and they blame the couple for the break-up of the royal marriage. Apparently, Bush is afraid that hosting Camilla would irritate and anger too many Americans, so he's using the divorce excuse. That's also dumb, though, because frankly most Americans don't even know who Camilla is or anything about her. And if he's going to use that excuse, then he'd better not invite his brother Neil to the WH at all either.

I still say this is total bullshit, though, it has to be. It's on the level of a story in the World Weekly Standard, or similar checkout fiction tabloids.

Wait a minute, Charles was divorced, as was Camilla, was he banned too? (Not that I care, but this is not making sense...)
