and they say "I'm a human ain't no way I came from no monkeys". Ask them

"Which is more reasonable: that we and apes descended from a common ancestor or that men came from the dust of the earth and women came from the man's rib as it says in Genesis? Which one is scientifically provable?"

The theory of evolution does not hold that we evolved from apes. It describes how we and apes evolved from a common ancestor. That's very different. :)

To say as well. I like that. To me as a Christian God and science go hand-in-hand. God may have started the world and whatnot from the Christian faith and view point but science had a HUGE part in it. Ignoring science is impossible.

I get the point you're making but we didn't descend from apes. They, and we, decended from the same common ancestor. Apes are on one branch, we're on another ... so to speak.

27. But, A "Good" Fundi believes ONLY what is written...
...in the Bible, verbatim. And Most Fundi's only use the "King James Bible", which now that I'm looking at it I see I had the chapters wrong, but the same questions exist.

Genesis Chapter 4:

Ge 4:1 "And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.
Ge 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Ge 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass..."

Ge 4:10 "And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground..."

Ge 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
Ge 4:17 And Cain knew his wife;

and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

Where did this "wife" come from?
And could you have a "city" without more than 2 people?

Seth didn't show up until Ge 4:25

That's right. Only thing I can think of. Cause there's no other mention of a woman besides Eve. Well some people also believe in the goddess Lilith. But according to myth Lilith was a strong woman and Adam didn't like that so that's when God brought in Eve and there you go. Of course Lilith isn't in the Bible.

44. My 5 year old son just asked me that the other day while we
were reading the Bible.

LOL! Even my 5 year old son is smarter than wingnuts.

Of course, I told him what I was told - because it makes sense: Adam represented mankind and was the first of his kind created. However, God didn't stop there. We have no idea how long God's "seven days" were. It's a story, written so man can understand long periods of time in a short, condensed version. People weren't as educated back in Biblical days and stories were spread by telling them, not reading. It made the story of God simplier and easier to tell. The point is that you must learn all this to learn about Jesus and all His good works.

48. According to my studies
our dimension is the only one with time. I saw a special about this on one of those learning channels and they had professionals who have been studying this forever. Also from what I know of spiritual realms it seems right. From what I've learned over time we use time to help keep things in order and all that. We don't know how long the days are on the other side. Time stands still over there. So for all we know seven days could be 700 years.

56. Exactly, their is NO Way Noah was 900 years old when he died.
From the King James Ver:

Ge 9:28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

Ge 9:29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Or this from Genesis Chapter 11
Ge 11:10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:

Ge 11:11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

Ge 11:13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

Ge 11:15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:

Ge 11:17 And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

Ge 11:19 And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:20 And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:

Ge 11:21 And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:

Ge 11:23 And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years,:eyes: and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

Ge 11:25 And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

Ge 11:26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Call me a skeptic, but I REALLY don't think they had 400 year old men walking around "Begetting" back then.

If the watchmaker is so complex that he/she requires a creator/designer, then following that logic, the creator must be even more complex, therefore requiring a creator/designer & so on & so on & so on.

You end up with an infinity of creators/designers.

it says "male and female he created them."

It's just a real sloppy cut and paste job in the editing room.

They let that little bit from the old myth slip in before Adam and
Eve were even technically created. Of course, it's the rib episode later on that we are always being assailed with.

28. The most absurd thing about trying to refute Evolution is
that everything is constantly evolving. Darwin only described one small component of the big picture. In fact, I think he was given more credit than he was due. He was describing the obvious.

One can't name anything that didn't evolve. Try it.

Existence is an array of interrelated events.

52. Baloney. If anything, Darwin's underrated.
He didn't just "describe the obvious." What Darwin did was a textbook example of how to go about doing science. He spent decades collecting, categorizing, and interpretation before he published, And what Darwin described WAS the big picture, it's been the last 160 years of scientific research that's filling in all the little components and nooks and crannies.

scientific methods and energy. But, thousands of other scientists in other fields who are/were equally diligent and insightful received less credit. However, I don't mind his getting credit. What I do mind is that people are pig headed enough to deny that Evolution is an obvious fact, not just the Evolution of the species, but the Evolution of everything, of which the Evolution of the species is a sub-set.
