Protesters May File Lawsuit To Stop Deer Killings

SOLON Ohio - A deer dispute is Solon is a growing problem facing many cities and towns in northeast Ohio, News-Channel5 reported.

While most agree the deer population is increasing, there is widespread disagreement on how to deal with the problem.

Solon officials have voted to use sharpshooters to thin the deer population with a team of sharpshooters positioned in tree stands throughout the city. About 600 deer will be killed as part of the plan.

Many Solon residents are opposed to the idea and about 100 of them show up to protest the plan.

Two years ago, there were nearly 200 car-deer accidents in Solon.

So far, about 200 deer have been killed by sharpshooters since the program started last week.

Protesters are now considering a lawsuit to stop the shooting.

if they were shown in the news all the time, showing the coffins coming back, people probably would protest it. but noone shows that.

If you recall they usually bring the bodies back home extremely late at night to keep them secret from the press and protesters.

If the Government is playing hide the bodies, how can we be upset at Protesters for not jarring them with dissent when they come in?

4. i don`t know about the sharpshooters

where i live we have the bow hunters to thin the herds near our town. there is a herd of over 75 deer just several blocks from my home and for the first time several have been walking thru my yard this winter..
