Dear Mr. Jarvis (About the anti_AARP ad run by usanext.org)
(This is in reference to the anti-AARP ad discussed in this thread. It was an ad implying that the AARP's "real agenda" was anti-troops and pro-gay marriage. Charlie Jarvis is chairman of USA NEXT. Feel free to quote this in full, but I would appreciate an attribution if you do.)

Dear Mr. Jarvis,
Recently, your organization, USA Next, ran an offensive anti-AARP ad on the American Spectator website at spectator.org. In interviews you've stated that the ad was a "test" to see if people would "over react". You state that the test worked. So what you are saying, in essence, is that you deliberately placed an ad that was intended to get a negative reaction. For the sake of your so-called test you deliberately offended, angered, and insulted people by telling them that they supported an organization that was against our troops. You deliberately played games with the emotions of our retired citizens.

I know that you claimed that your target was in fact so-called "left liberal groups" but surely you realize that retired people do use the internet. Even if they weren't your main target you must have realized that many of them would become aware of, and be offended by, your ad. Did you simply consider them to be collateral damage?

You are the chairman of an organization that claims to be a superior alternative to the AARP. Here's a clue for you, don't insult the people that you're trying to win over!
