More fishy goings on with Ohio Supreme Court Justices
I was going to post in LBN, but it didn't have a time on the article, but it wasn't there a couple of hours ago.

Whats a Republican Justice doing with $18,000 in cash in the Flats.

I wanna insert a Guckert joke here, but I can't do it.

Judge says $18,000 taken from car
Thursday, February 24, 2005
Gabriel Baird and Ted Wendling
Plain Dealer Reporters

In what some might call a lapse in judgment, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O'Donnell lost $18,000 that was in his car parked in the Flats Feb. 16.

The judge told police that he left the cash in his state-issued car while attending a dinner, where he was recognized as the 2004 Alumnus of the Year by St. Edward High School.

When O'Donnell returned to the car -- parked at Washington Avenue and Elm Street -- the rear passenger window was smashed and the money was gone. He also reported the theft of a briefcase containing "private and special papers," bringing the total loss to $18,895, according to a police report.

6. The Flats
Is the old nightclub district on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland.

It seems most of the action is moving to the Warehouse district now, and a lot of the places in the flats are closing.

I moved out of Cleveland a couple of years ago.

7. For a judge, he's quite stupid. Nothing else matters.
You don't leave valuables in a car.

I could care less if it is a bribe or money for a hooker or whatever; America's guilty of being ran by so many crooked cons that I'm simply apathetic to them all.

8. He's rumored to be a big spender and a player with the ladies.
I wonder if he was planning on some bigtime partying with that 18,000.

9. In that case maybe it was payoff money, conveniently "retrieved"
and then reported as a loss so he can write it off next year on his taxes.
