Thank you, hewlett packard!
http://money.cnn.com/2005/02/09/technology/hp_fiorina/

Remember, Carly once said this gem: There is no job that is America’s god-given anymore. From: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/496239.cms

She got what she deserved and I'm hoping her comment had nothing to do with it. (which would then suggest HP is trying to clean up only its image; as its products are ones that have dropped in quality over the last couple of years...)

2. H-P was the gold standard company in Silicon Valley...
...for many years and its much-vaunted "H-P Way" -- focusing on trust, responsbilility, and partnership -- was the model many firms sought to emulate.

Under Fiorina, any pretense of respect for the H-P Way was abandoned and management proceeded to slash-and-burn with abandon. Anything for buck was the new watchword.

It's truly sad to see the depths to which this once-great company has fallen.

3. Michael Dell thanks HP
Carly ignored HP's printer division and invested heavily in the PC market, which was rapidly losing profit margins and contracting to just a couple of major players.

Carly was the best thing to happen to Dell Computers.

6. I heartily agree...their printers were THE standard
and they just dropped the ball and made some BAD decisions about their computer division, and left the printer division to rot....they actually used to have one of the best customer service response departments as far as their printers go....stood by them 200%.

I still have an old Laser 6p that is a tireless dog that has never broken...sits on a jet direct port and works beautifully. Had a LJIII until just last year when an idiot at work knocked it off the counter and it broke to pieces..otherwise it would probably still be working for us.

7. I still have a working LJIII Si
I want to replace it, but the damned thing just won't stop working so I can't justify buying a new one.
