President of YDA

What does the president of yda do? Does the president take the lead role in setting up YDA and College Democrats of America chapters?

1. There's a link on the YDA Leadership page.

But it's a 404. I'd assume you're right. On a local level, my YDA group literally tries to get-out-the-vote and start small student YDA groups. I'd assume he does the same..but on a national level.

I really don't want to talk about YDA, though. I know you probably don't care, but the only reason I say that is I'm missing our meeting tonight in which I was to speak, because of flu-like symptoms and 102 fever.

2. o/t: question

I'm the president of a pseudo-YDA club at my high school. After countless calls and emails to the Oregon state representative, then to the main office via their website's provided contact numbers, we met with absolutely no response. Do you have any idea why? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

3. Hm..weird. My GOP state representive got me back in 24 hours.

Yeah, very un-Republican like. Just make sure you say "I need this ASAP.", that will make the representive try to get back faster.

College Democrats of America is a seperate organization, technically, although there have been complete mergers/cross-double charters in many areas. A college org can be chartered by both the CDA and the YDA, or the parent organization (the state org) may be chartered by both.
