Be Proud America: "He wept. He begged not to be beaten anymore."
Thrown to the Wolves
By BOB HERBERT

"If John Ashcroft was right, then I was staring into the malevolent, duplicitous eyes of pure evil, the eyes of a man with the mass murder of Americans on his mind. But all I could really see was a polite, unassuming, neatly dressed guy who looked like a suburban Little League coach."

We torture those we do not know to be our enemy.

We kill countless numbers of people whom we do not know to be our enemy.

We have someone whom no one seems to know sitting a few feet from the fake, war criminal President of the USA, asking stupid questions.

And, Halliburton just got a bonus.

Be proud America. Be proud.

5. Yes. That is the date of the American transformation to a totalitarian ...
...regime.

Thank you.

3. I propose that all future confirmation hearings be held in torture
chambers. I further propose a do over so the present occupants don't get off so easy.

4. Is it possible to find out how enriched Cheney and Bush
have become thanks to the war?

I mean where they are hiding the money from all this.

Is Poppy a shareholder in the defense contractors?

6. In a word, "Carlyle." And, we have no way of knowing all that they 'hold.'
One of many references (happens to be terse and to the point):

At least, not until we have a legitimate government and an investigation. These are all folk who know how to thrive on war and are true cheerleaders of perpetual war.

Peace.

7. No, actually
And there are many other cases like Maher Arar's. For the most part Americans don't care. They don't ask about it, they don't demand to know why it's happening or what's being done to stop it. Why should they when their president sets the moral example by permitting these abuses? Everyone knows he would deny and justify the tortures if questioned.

bush** smiles as he talks about "democracy". Just another day in paradise.
