It's AMAZING how much shit Americans will take now
...under a republican president that is. I've never seen anything like it in my whole life, bushco keeps packaging, marketing, and selling shit, and Americans keep buying and enjoying it with blank smiles.

Stolen elections? It'll be alright, we'll vote em' out next time. Monstrous genocide on innocent people for no reason? Freedom is on the march. Torturing prisoners of war with no regard for the Geneva convention? But don't dare try it with a u.s. g.i., or we'll nuke you.

Fake reporters, fake news, war profiteers at the helm, 1,500 dead g.i.'s, 15,000 crippled, blinded, burnt, and made insane, with plans to invade a second non-aggressor nation? Tune in the Jackson trial a while.

It's flat out amazing just how much shit people will eat these days and pretend it's chocolate ice cream.

2. ...and pretend it's chocolate ice cream.
....with sprinkles too!

my rule of thumb when reading the news use to be to discount 1/2 of what's being "reported" and to question the rest

my new improved rule of thumb: discount all of it and investigate the reporter

9. It's the awesome power of Terrorvision!!
It's best expressed by the cud-chewing public as "It's got to be true or they wouldn't put it on The News." Then, there's the insidious corollary: "If it's important, it will be on The News."

Fallacious assumptions -----> fellatio. SUCKERS!

11. I think it is understandable and some reasons
One) most of the people to day did not fight for the rights they have. Two) it is easy to let your self be ruled than do the work of doing it your self or finding out what is going on and Three)No one wants to give up one thing to reach another place. Like cut gas so we will not have to put up with being ruled by the Middle East. I guess this is what 51% of the voters want. My big thing is they say I must live it also where I said they did not have to live what I think. AS in I do not care if they are Right Wing nuts but they sure care that I am not a Right Wing nut. That I just can not handle. Even as a child I did not have to think just like my mother and father. They told me to think things out for my self as I told my own children to do.

16. People don't want to know
those I talk with really don't care what is going on. Most stop reading the newspapers, and listening to the news. They all seem to have buried their heads in the sand. I get so angry when they reply, It's not my problem, what can I do, or it has to get better someday, I'm not going to worry about it!
I guess its up to each of us to educate them, I do my best, I have brought the Gannon story up, and was amazed no one new who he was. They do now, I teach three adult classes and they are getting politics along with their art class. The discussion are good, I don't let them get out of hand, and I hope it does some good, or it wakes up a few people.

They're handing us a dog turd, telling us that it's a tootsie roll, and laughing at us because they think we don't know the difference.

WE know the difference. And keep on posting the truth, Mopaul.

21. Yes it is amazing how much shit Americans will take...
One of the most constant and more or less positive traits of us Americans has always been the ability to put up with hardship and "keep goin when the goin gets tough." But this admirable stoicism is backfiring now. Americans are putting up with the most egregious assault on our rights ever perpetrated by the US government. Yet so many are willing to just keep on knuckling under. To cut The Sheeple some slack, their denial of the truth is being aided and abetted by the most mind-boggling mass media hijacking in US history. And by economics--many average Americans are working so hard to keep their lives together they don't have the energy to fight. They are behaving exactly as expected by their cynical owners, masters of an extremely exploitative culture.

This is why we who are NOT willing to take it anymore have to keep on saying in as many ways as we can...that we deserve and demand better, and be crystal clear about our complete rejection of the current situation. Most Americans are putting up with WAY TOO MUCH. The time of lamentation about that is over. We need to work--to speak up, network, help others get the picture, even if it's just talking to neighbors and anyone else who's receptive. I actually had this happen recently: Thrown together with complete strangers in a non-political situation, one man suddenly blurted out, "Did anyone here vote for the President?" When the (diverse) group all replied "No..." The man said, "Well who did?!" Everyone sat blinking in stunned silence at his obvious distress.

So I do think that disgust and disillusionment is simmering just below the surface...but it's hard for Americans to realize that "suffering through it" is not the way to go. For that reason I even have a problem with the leftish "Wake me When It's Over" stickers I've seen. It's time to wake up now.

22. No it's not, considering the effectiveness of Goebbels v1.0 and
the New and Improved (with TWICE as much sbutlety and plausible deniability than the original!) Goebbels v2.0 which the Busheviks have upgraded and harnessed for their purposes.

They may not be EXACTLY like the Naizs, lucky for us they are Kinder and Genlter (for now), but they are definitely second cousins sharing a common ancestor in Ed Bernays and the Public Relations/Propaganda industry.

It is therefore, unsurpising because BOTH versions of Geobbelsian Propaganda are deisgned to create unthinking automatons and shit-eaters (as long as the shit comes from THE PARTY and THE LEADER) and also to make certain that, once converted, the subjects are immune to ALL facts and reality that aren't Party Approved.

Far from being shocking, it is exactly the result that you would expect from an unwitting population subject to Goebbels v1.0 or v2.0 without any real opposition during it's formation, implementation and the all-important Gleitschaltung Period.

I am actually surprised they haven't started the roundups yet, but perhaps that will be after LIHOP #2 (which is likely coming by 2007 and maybe a lot sooner) or perhaps after the last generations who remember Free America grow old and die.

But unexpected? Not for anyone who understand Totalitarianism and the evil it creates.

23. You're right, and the use of propaganda and brainwashing
techniques is more widespread and more effective in ensuring proper "thought control" than many want to admit.

From Brainwashing America by Dr. Norman Livergood.

Americans are being brainwashed to ask only the questions the Bushites allow and they are programmed to see everything the Bush junta does as unquestionably correct. The brainwashing has gone so far that Americans no longer see what has happened to our country.

Personality Profiling and Simulation

In an earlier article, I reviewed the varied aspects of personality profiling and simulation. While serving as Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the U.S. Army War College, 1993-1995, I conducted studies on profiling, psychological programming, and brainwashing. I explored and developed personality simulation systems, an advanced technology used in military war games, FBI profiling, political campaigning, and advertising. Part of my discovery was that:

* unenlightened human minds are combinations of infantile beliefs and emotional patterns

* these patterns can be simulated in profiling systems

* these profiling systems can be used to program and control people

Personality simulation systems are being used to create political campaigns that apply voter profiles to control their voting behavior. TV commercials and programs use personality simulation to profile viewers to control their purchasing and viewing behaviors. And sophisticated propaganda and brainwashing techniques are being used by the Bush junta to keep American citizens under control.

25. I completely agree. Americans are the victims of deception,...
,...through a well-polished psy-ops machine. Most of them don't even know what's happening.

Americans are being betrayed.

What can we do to snap them out of their hypnotic state? I hate for matters to become so desperate that whole country effectively "bottoms out".

28. It hasn't gotten bad enough for most people to give a damn
their lives are still the same...la dee da...and only when the shit totally hits the fan will they care and maybe just maybe DO something about what's happening. There's only a few things that will wake these people up: 1) A Draft. 2) A Depression where masses of people lose their jobs, homes, everything. 3) War on U.S. soil.

How pathetic is it that it has to get that frickin bad for people to WAKE THE HELL UP?!!!!!
