Bin Laden Video's and Claim of 911 --- fiction or fact (a good read)
The Fake bin Laden Video Tape
YOU ARE LOOKING AT A US GOVERNMENT LIE
On December 13, 2001 a videotape of Osama bin Laden "confessing" to the 9/11 attacks was made public:

The tape bore a label indicating it was made on November 9. Administration officials wouldn't reveal exactly how or when they got it, except to say it was found in a house in Jalalabad after anti-Taliban forces moved in.

The above article indicates that the videotape was physically located by anti-Taliban forces.

The size of a standard VHS videotape is 7.5 inches wide by 4.2 inches deep by 1 inch high - if you look in a video cabinet you'll see they're not very big. The satellite photograph of Jalalabad shows it's very big and it contains a lot of buildings (not all single storey).

Don't you find it somewhat fortuitous that anti-Taliban forces just happened to stumble across a very small videotape of Osama confessing to the 9/11 attacks in this very big city?

Here's what was said of the "lucky find":

3. Ahh...the old "Fat Elvis" Osama tape.

If you look at the guy in this tape critically, he looks nothing like the one you normally see.

It's like the difference between George Burns and Santa Claus.

5. They don't think anyone will take them seriously.
And they would get shouted down like Cynthia McKinney.

Of course, she came back, which is a credit to the truth and her dedication to it.

However, I think a lot of people want to be taken seriously by the mainstream media.

Which is funny, because I can't take them seriously, and the number of 9/11-War on Terror skeptics is growing and the number of people who take the corporate media seriously is rapidly shrinking as they continue to lose credibility.

You'd think people in the mainstream would start breaking loose from the madness.

There is better information out here in the real world, people.

You don't need senior military and cabinet officials to find the real story, and in fact, they are usually the last ones to give it to you.

6. a minor point...
I remember when people were saying that the Nick Berg footage cast doubts upon the killers being MIddle Eastern. One piece of evidence commonly cited was that they were wearing gold jewelry, forbidden by their religion. The article on whatreallyhappened also mentions that "Islam forbids wearing gold rings."

I love the web! I just now spent about a half an hour looking at the gold ring issue. As with western religions, there seems to be a spectrum of clerical opinion, everything from Islam forbids wearing *pure* gold rings, so gold-plated or gold alloys are allowed, to NO! NEVER! NOT ANYTHING EVEN RESEMBLING IT! As far as I could tell from my googling around, there seems to be a difference of interpretation of Sharia according to various schools and according to Sunni or Shi'ite beliefs.

Additionally, there seems to be a spectrum of compliance, as well. Think about Catholics and contraception, and you get the picture.
