Chilling Photo Comparisons that Horrify Me
Edited on Fri Feb-25-05 12:14 PM by Stop_the_War

The Reichstag Fire was when the Reichstag (German Parliament) was set on fire in 1933. The Reichstag Fire set in motion a turn of events that gave Hitler and the Nazis extreme power and also allowed them to pass the Enabling Act, which destroyed any civil liberties and made void the constitution. Many historians have concluded that it was the Nazis themselves who set the Reichstag on fire, not the man who they originally pinned the blame on, Marinus Van Der Lubbe.

I think that 9/11 was Bush's Reichstag. Or perhaps that was a pre-Reichstag. Perhaps Bush is going to set ablaze our Senate.

1. Well, yeah.
This theory has been out for about three years now.
However, if you arrived at this conclusion of your own free will (and not because you read it somewhere), then it proves that more and more people are coming to grips with the administration's fascist tendancies. I hope the majority of Americans are waking up to this now.
I've been yelling about their fascism for at least two years now. At first, everyone assumed I was onto a "conspiracy theory," but, now, I think they know I was probably correct.

6. its deeper than this last election though
how did we, as a nation, become so idiotic? I mean, granted, only half the people voted for him, but the whole press corp lost their balls years and years ago ...its getting harder and harder to even pay attention.

The news is killing me.

8. I think it started with Ford's well-meaning but misguided pardon

of Nixon. Bunches of Nixonites went to jail, but the man on top got a get-out-of-jail-free card. Then the Nixonites re-emerged in the Reagan administration. Again, bunches of Reaganites (138?) went to jail but the top ones got off, pardoned by Bush 41, himself an unindicted co-conspiritor. They emerged again with Bush 43.

If Nixon had been made to pay the consequences for his crimes, that whole wing of the Republican party would have been derailed, as they were when Joe McCarthy was disgraced.

I didn't know that. What the hell are the teaching us in school?

Man ...you think Nazi germany was filled with people like here on the DU that are totally disgusted with what was going on, but you never heard about it because he controlled the media. I mean, there was no internet back then for like minded people to band together and bitch about how messed up everything is.

11. Another chilling Bush-Hitler comparison
Do you know that it's been proven that Bush's DNA matches Hitler's by more than 99%?????!!!!!!!! Moreover, his DNA matches that of a chimpanzee by more than 96%!!!!!!!!! And those repugs voted for him!
