Ken Lay trial delayed another year (Jan '06) because lawyers
asked for "more time."

Michael Jackson needed more time, so did Martha Stewart--but they didn't get it. Who's harmed more people, Michael, Martha or Ken Lay?

2. It must have been Martha
She was rushed to court the fastest and off to jail quickly.

Maybe they are going to use Michael Jackson as the media diversion for this year and Ken Lay later when they really need one. Although if they wait long enough, all the witnesses could die and then they could not prosecute him at all.
Party on ken and bu$h, it pays to have Friends in high places.

Has any President actually given a pardon to one of his friends?

4. When Buxh's term was in danger of termination last fall.....
...his lawyer was demanding a speedy trial, forgoing a jury in favor of a panel of judges. I think they could have wrapped it up before January 20th had Buxh lost the election.

Since he didn't, I believe they will now stretch it out to 2008 allowing for a pardon on Buxh's way out, with little or no time served.

I expect Buxh to refer to him as a "national treasure" that got caught up in something that wasn't his fault.
