United We Stand
It is a testament to the Left that Liberals come in all stripes and colors. There are Vegetarians and Vegans, minorities, soldiers and vets, Gays and Lesbians, Moderates, Lefties, Environmentalists, Anti-Wars, Pro-Choicers, Feminists, Post-feminists, and lots more in this big, wonderful tent of ours. Why is it we use our own differences against each other like they are liabilities instead of the wonderful opportunities they are? Why do we attack each other so readily for things the Regressives would attack us for if weren't so intent on doing their work for them?

I am asking you all to consider the adage: "United we stand; divided we fall". We will never take back the White House, and the other arms of the government if we are soo busy fighting amongst ourselves, we remain a group of factions, rather than a cohesive unit.

Love and support your fellow Democrats and Progressive Indies... we are all we have against the Extremist Regressive Right Wing Agenda for America.

2. There seems to be something terribly wrong with our country.
Maybe it's the tone set by Washington. The Democrats being on the loosing side for so long are probably in a panic as to how to get control of themselves. The repubs want to destroy the Democratic party. Every move the Democrats make, the repubs shout something - usually that they are unpatriotic. Or support terrorism.

I think the Democrats need a clear leader with a brain who can out shout the repubs and the press. A good leader will unit everyone. Hope Dean can start the process.

3. The Communist Party
had a general rule that if one of their members was attacked they would defend that person publicly even if they disagreed on that particular issue. An attack on one was an attack on all.

This bred solidarity and enforced party discipline.

And who generally follows this tradition today? The Republican Party of the United States

4. I agree.
But, using this priciple, they now control every arm of our government.

None of OUR agenda will be enacted unless we start winning elections. And, we will not win elections unless we all support the things that unite us all against the Regressive and Extremist RW.

They are winning. We are losing. We must start thinking of the "greater good", and stop our myopic belly-button gazing.

5. I was just pointing out the irony
I agree that we hae to have greater party discipline to win elections.

But first we have to have a party. Some places we don't have one.
