4. You have to post the entire URL.
In your photo album, right under the picture, you should find a box that says URL. Just click on that box to highlight the URL, right click on it, and click "copy". You can then click on "paste" in the body of your post, and the picture should show for you.

You may find this thread, and the ones it links to, to be helpful for this sort of thing.

10. When you get the photoshop page....
Edited on Sat Feb-26-05 06:46 PM by Bluebear
that says "my photos" you should get something that looks like a miniature picture of what you want to post. Under that it says something like this:

url h ttp://img. photobucket.com/albums/v189/n2mark/photodsc1111.jpg
tag <imgrc="http: //img.photobucket.com/albums...
Img ht tp:// img.photobucket.com/albums/...

highlight the whole thing in the little box to the right of "URL"...(ignore "tag and IMG")..... right click and select "copy".

Then in your post here, right click and select "paste". It will look to you like this when you put it in your message

http: //img.photobucket.com/albums/v189/n2mark/photodsc1111.jpg

Then post the message

You are not dumb, everyone had to learn it the first time.

11. No, you put in the web address
of the picture your trying to post. It will look something like this,

htt p://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/crunchyfrog/condi.jpg

only without the space in the http, I put that in so it would show the address and not the picture.

5. Axciom is another Choice point
Data mining on everyone- Patriot Act etc...
Axciom is one of the companies that the
government uses to spy on us.
Based in Little Rock- they work with banks,
retailers and other entities that we interact with.
Big brother, technology wise.
Poindexter's dream come true.

Amy Goodman had a segment with the author
John O'Harrow, who has just written a book that
includes information about Axiom and other
companies like it.

"O'Harrow explores how the government is teaming up with private
companies to collect massive amounts of data on citizens and
how. He writes, "More than ever before, the details about our lives are no
longer our own. They belong to the companies that collect them,
and the government agencies that buy or demand them in the name of
keeping us safe."

12. she hated working for them, but...
Edited on Mon Feb-28-05 04:44 PM by KingoftheJungle
It was because they overworked her and didn't give her any decent bonuses or promotions for the work she was doing.

She also used to work for Litton on defense contracts for a few decades until Litton went under.

She told me that the defense department is a real pain in the ass to work with, as not only do they try to cut weak deals all the time but they are also very, very picky about every detail you can imagine. She mentioned that she wasn't aware of anyone whose job was to inflate economic forecasts in foreign countries (an economic hit man), but they do have "agents" whose job is to get cozy with certain people and shower them with gifts and crap. My mom had a glass ceiling underneath the VP position, so I think she was kept one level beneath the people who knew the real details.

Now she works for a smaller company with defense contracts. I forget who they are but they have some incredible physicists working for them. I got my hands on some projects they are working on and its real cutting edge stuff. They are also really big into liquid physics and designed the algorithms and programs used by Hollywood to create CG liquids (and smoke and stuff).

My mom is kinda dumb so I'd be interested to see the details of her contracts and business connections to see where Axiom is in the bigger picture.
