11. "Emotional or mental problems"
Hmmm. Now, where have I heard those terms before? Ah yes, they used the same terms to describe McCain did they not?

Funny how people who have actually SERVED in the military are labeled with "emotional or mental problems" while those who DESERTED (after 30 days, it's desertion) or who are avowed chickenhawks are worshiped without question.

If these guys are patriots, I'm a Republican.

It seems like just yesterday there was a thread around here about Howard Dean wanting Wesley Clark to be his running mate.

Me thinks there could be a really good cat fight down the road.

Note to self: purchase the ultra huge box of microwave popcorn for many months of entertainment.

Clark, 58, a Rhodes scholar and former NATO commander who led a successful military effort in Kosovo against strongman Slobodan Milosevic in 1999

According to the Democrats, success is bombing Serbia for a couple months, capitulating to most of Milosevic's demands and then declaring victory, whereas failure is taking Iraq and holding it for nearly six months with fewer than 400 service deaths.

McAuliffe said the party would benefit from "a four-star general traveling around the country talking about the Democratic Party, talking about the differences and failures of the Bush administration."

Apparently, the fact that said four-star general nearly provoked war with Russia on two occasions doesn't enter into the Democratic calculus here.

The Ultimate Perfumed Prince, who twice tried to start World War III with Russia. He also supplied the tanks used to burn the children at Waco.

A Rhodes Scholar from Arkansas, an FOB, finally coming out of the woodwork.

I suspect they are grooming him for Vice President, as Hillary!'s running-mate. No doubt he will be their Military Hero, to balance the ticket.

8. Freepers are traitors anyway
Yes it's true about the "perfumed prince" title and that the Arab world isn't very fond of him. But so what?

The only reason they're howling is because Clark put a (D) beside his name. Jerks!

Their comment just demonstrate what a plus Clark is for the Democratic party ticket.

I am not sure how I feel about this...Clark is a communist wacko, and would be easy pickins for Bush (Heck, he would be easy pickins for Quayle at this point) However, I think he might split the extreme left vote in the primary between himself and Dean, allowing a more moderate (and competitive) candidate to slide into the lead. (Ala Arnold and McC in Calif)

What do y'all think? The more extreme wackos on the other side the better? Or does it open up the possibility of a real fight come '04?

Yup.

The center-left wing of the demoRat party with lots of big bucks and influence will get behind Clark 1000%. They can't wait to knock off their McGovernite front-runner Dean for a retired four-star General.

This will present a real challenge to President Bush.

Is he a Rhodes Scholar, or just a R.S. candidate like Xlinton? He was too busy committing treason in Moscow and harrassing English co-eds to finish his studies at Oxford. I always enjoy throwing this factoid out whenever some snide Demo-puke tries to compare him to President Bush by saying Beelzebubba is so much smarter, etc.

Dem plan is Hillary as his running mate in 2004 and he steps down shortly afterword, making her President (which means Bill becomes first lady).

As VP, Hillary will keep him safe for two years, then she can Arkancide him. That way, she could finish his term and still be eligible for two terms of her own for a total of almost 10 years as president. As the VP and as a Senator, she will have served in both the Executive and Legistative Branch, which leaves only the Judicial Branch. She could have a President Clark appoint her to the Supreme Court and then she will have served in (contaminated) all three branch of government and have a lifetime appointment, as well.

He is also a threat to Hillary's presidential aspirations. I'm sure she would rather see Dean win the Rat nomination and face a sure defeat, leaving the field open for her coronation the next time. If Clark enters the race, gets the nomination and wins, Hillary is screwed, this could be interesting.

(Clark better stay out of parks and watch his back!)
