talking about this today and I bring this up to you.

After the Pope had his surgery he asked(wrote) "What did they do to me"? I first heard that and thought he ment how did the surgery go? and then various news organizations repeated it over and over and it may me think that maybe he didn't okay or was unable to agree to the surgery like the Vatican wants people to believe.


Am I thinking or reading into this too much?

in the late stages. If he's had a trach to protect his airway, then he's definitely in the late stages.

He may have agreed to it and then completely forgotten that he had.

The poor old man is a figurehead now, and just waiting to die. I'm sure all of his functions are being carried out by that horror Ratzinger, plus the Vatican's enormous bureaucracy. After all, his speech has been nearly unintelligible for quite some time.

My friend also believe that the Vatican is moving to prepare for the vote as quietly as possible and that he is within days of death.
