Don't tell me there isn't a man behind the media curtain at the WH
In the middle of watching "Meet The Press" an major newspaper reporter was condemning the bush rhetoric and his latest meeting with Putin and out of the blue in the middle of her sentence a FREAKING "Law and Order" commercial comes on. Lasting just long enough to completely cover up whatever she was saying! They subsequently allowed her to bring up Gannon with out interruption but WTF is that? I have NEVER seen anything so blatantly manipulated in my life!

She was also subsequently allowed to mention the fact that EVEN Nixon hated the press but he didn't try to pull off an invasion of the body snatchers with regards to the WH press room like bush has done.

I'm sure this was at the local level here. So did anyone else hear what she said? We see this show on time delay since it is originally run on the east coast I believe 2 hours ahead of us. Whatever that was it was deliberate and our media had ample time to come up with a "mistake" to cover up her words!

1. Some local broadcasters won't allow any criticism of W, like Sinclair
and other totalitarian enablers.

I realize that mistakes happen but in light of what has been going on lately- it was almost frightening! I live in CA. so I think our MTP is taped.

3. Link please? I KNOW that was deliberate.
We've been seeing time delays on all news on THIS particular channel for MONTHS News breaks are a waste of time for this channel they are mostly SILENT images of news reporters BREAKING a story. The only people that even have a chance at figuring out what they are saying are lip readers! This same station managed to get in a comment about a break in the Ramsey case a couple months ago, but NEVER ran a story about it! I sat and watched the entire news reports for several days and NEVER heard them mention it again. In contrast the two other local stations seem to have NO time delay whatsoever, but their broadcasts are like WH press briefings of late. No news, just rhetoric!

4. It's happened on other shows before, once on Bill Maher
some guys were refuting the Swift Boat thingy...all of sudden there was all kinds of audio interference...until they finished the damning parts of their remarks. Then everything was clear. No mention was made of the "problem."

7. Tim Robbins
My recollection of specifics might be a little clouded, but didn't something very memorable like that happen to Tim Robbins way back, even? I remember reading that C-Span went black on him? "A Chill Wind is Blowing" speech?

(Hence my user name..heh.)

8. Yep, How is it that ordinary citizens can't see this for themselves?
I have witnessed this type of censorship on a regular basis on ONE particularly left leaning TV station. They have been on time delay for MONTHS! They have at least 2 gay reporters (this is a guess really, but there seems to be some veiled references to that within the programming so I don't think I'm far off the mark) Anyway, this has been, without question, the most watched news show in this state for as long as I can remember. The other two local stations are WAY conservative IMO and they just don't garner that much support but they have NOT had any time delay that I can discern. There must be some sort of attempt in the media going on to report something BIG!

It has occurred to me many times that if the people I know are average and representative of "the nation" there is no way bushitler actually got even HALF of the votes he claims he got. I'd say about one out of every 20-30 people I know are willing to admit they voted for bush and I live in what OTHERS consider a red state. I actually don't think they (non-natives) have a clue what they are talking about with regards to natives of this state, we are not as conservative as our transplants would like us all to believe we are.
