Oh, that that number had been reached before the election! :(

15. Bush's Approval Rating Jumps 12% Among Past Evil Rulers
WASHINGTON – In a surprising boost for the Bush Administration, the President's approval rating shot up 12% Wednesday among past evil rulers. Genghis Khan, Stalin, and Pol Pot all expressed their favorable view of the US President in a recent CNN/Gallup poll.
Khan said, "For a while I looked upon Bush unfavorably because I thought he was going to stop with Iraq and avoid attacking other countries.” “Now I'm happy to see he's setting his sights on Iran. I've always said that continuous unjustified expansion is the key to a good evil empire."

With the 12% jump, Bush's approval rating among evil dictators is now at an all-time high of 78%. That is 8 points higher than the second highest ever recorded, which was during the Nixon Administration.

40. That's what I thought last April
I was POSITIVE that they'd be around 35-37%, what with it being the deadliest month yet, AND that absolute DISASTER of a "press conference."

I was wrong. One thing I've learned: whenever I've assumed bad things would happen to B*sh, I've been wrong. He's never been held responsible for ANYTHING, EVER.

Those who willfully voted for * because of our (as a country) aggressive policies to invade and 'liberate' (though the Syria/Lebanon issue must be totally different for * to contradict himself so royally and say that Lebanese elections can be fair only so long as Syria leaves totally...) can be left to rot.

29. Meanwhile, "hated" Hillary at 69% approval among New Yorkers.
That number is up from 58% approval among her constituents in Oct. 2002.

Per New York Times poll of Feb. 4-13.

Even among NY Rethuglicans she is up to 49% approve, 40% disapprove (from 37/50).

And, IIRC, the article stated that nationally 4 in 10 disapprove of her -- meaning SIX in 10 APPROVE, no?

Recapping: Hillary Clinton significantly more popular than Chimp.

31. FOX's reporting on Bush's Poor Poll Numbers - fear & balanced?
FOX Does Its Best To Disguise The Bad-for-Bush Poll Numbers - Again!

March 2005

FOX News' latest poll has some seriously bad news for Bush. Yet, once again, you have to read the FOX website article pretty darn carefully to find out.

Only 41% of the public thinks that with George W. Bush as president, the world is generally heading in a better direction. While I consider this big news, FOX doesn't mention it in the first five paragraphs which provide an overview of the public's views on terrorism and international threats. Instead, the FOX article buries this fact halfway through the article, at the end of the section called "President Bush's Trip to Europe." ... More here

39. Social Security plan his downfall ...
Majority Disapproval for Bush on Social Security
Overall approval rating steady at 52% (sic)

by Jeffrey M. Jones

George W. Bush's ratings for handling Social Security have dropped in recent weeks as debate on the issue has intensified, with a majority now disapproving. Additionally, Americans today perceive less urgency for Social Security reform: fewer say major changes are needed to the system within the next two years than did so in January. The public is divided over whether the greater risk is to take a private investment approach to Social Security reform or rely on the current system to pay full benefits when workers retire. Bush's overall job approval rating is holding steady at 52%. (sic)
