I would love to see 1 million, and it could be done if everyone jumped into the act. I would gladly donate. Joe is giving the Dems heartburn which we don't need right now, we have enough on our hands without him distracting us.

1. As much as I dislike Lieberman |

I'd like to see what the alternative is first. I'd be happy to give what I can (which, truly, is about $10), but I don't want to throw money at a anybody-but-Lieberman campaign.

2. Coertion & punishment are for neocons, rovbots & republicans. |

I think we can all write off the staunch Israelis. Most of us do not know what it is like to have to worry about the safety of your family & people over a lifetime. I hope you never have to be so scared because it is quite something.
Now that the mummies in Palestine & Israel finally have the peace they want - I fully expect to see anyone with any Jewish ancestry or close life experience to be holding their noses and dancing with the devil. The Palestinians can do it - why wouldn't Liberman be doing it with the Bush WH.
This is the biggest thing in the lives of millions of people. If we don't get it or understand how he could potentially drop SS - fine. We don't get it. But to assume that life is so simple and clear that you do not have to kiss the president's ass when peace is potentially reached in Israel/Palestine is very naive. And be fully aware that the neocons are very aware of the fears & hopes that Liberman has at this juncture and will use his fear & hopes to score points.
Just ignore it. Liberman is fighting a completely different battle than you. Perhaps one day soon he will return to the Democratic fold. I can guarantee that that will happen only when he feels his family is secure into the future ... and only then he will return to fight for you.
In the meantime - do not act on your 'baser instincts' even though you see freepers & Presidents doing it every single day. Express your anger & dissappointment and ignore the dude! But leave the coertion out of it. (You end up reflecting the actions of freepers & Bush, who then point to you and say:"see I knew it! They have all the negative emotions and mine are all good"). Don't fall into the trap. If you were not into coercing politicians to vote exactly as you would like before...do not strat doing it now.
