I don't think so.
This is how USANext sells itself:
http://www.usanext.org/voices.cfm John R Petras from Levittown, PA. Says:
As a Republican I joined a local chapter of AARP and was president for 4 years. I tried to introduce a conservative voice to buffer what AARP was saying. I quit after 4 years because the chapter was too closed minded and appeared to me to take the wrong position on many issues. They spout the Democratic view with disregard for the own members concerns. They would rather be political rather than do what is good for the people. So I left.
Bill Menefee from Saint Augustine, Florida Says:
I've researched several of AARP's insurance offers, both rates and coverages, but I always found I could buy more coverage, for less money from other sources. I found AARP is not working in my best interest, so I've switched to USA Next. I now feel I have a voice that reflects my core beliefs. I feel USA Next is "Fair & Balanced," when dealing with the important issues of today and the future. Thank You, USA Next------- Bill Menefee Saint Augustine, Florida
Dopn Danner from Wenatchee, WA 98801 Says:
They recently sent a petition asking for my wife and I to sign to fight against the President's Social Security plan. I replied with a letter accusing them of being a Socialistic outfit.
Lloyd Cryer from Rosenberg, Texas Says:
When I discovered that AARP, an organization that supposely supported all senior citizens, Republicans as well as Democrats was simply another Liberal lobby supporting The National Democratic Party and opposing the Republicans in general and the President in particular,I canceled my subscription.(Please forgive the run-on sentence, but I'm so angry with the Left in corrupting so many of , what once ,were good organizations)
Hey, idiots. AARP's chairman is Peter Novelli, a former aide to Newt Gingrich who bamboozled the membership by throwing AARP's weight behind support for the Medicare prescription sham. The only reason AARP is taking a low-profile anti-SS privatization approach is they don't want members to leave en masse, which could upset their true raison d'etre as life insurance potentate.
