thought this was interesting...some parts of the south are not unwinnable..and I will swear to my grave that Florida's really a blue state that has been stolen twice by the bush neo-cons

1. Who Flipped the Colors?
Not that I am stuck with seeing things in red and blue, but it would've saved time.

3. The colors alternated
In the past the colors alternated based upon who held the White House. In 2000, the Republicans were red as they were the challenger when the Democrats held the White House. In 2004, the Republicans were again red because they were the party which held the White House.

If the old pattern continues, Democrats will be red in 2008, but I suspect they will stick with Republicans as red now that the red/blue divide has become so commonly discussed.
