I just saw the debates on C-Span because I don't get Fox on Adelphia. I'm glad I finally saw it with my own eyes because the "analysis" of it after it was on the other night here at DU were so obviously borderline idiotic!! EveryONE of those people did great in that debate. I was proud to have every one of them speak and to speak to that right-winger Fox audience. Even Holy Joe was great--he did more condemnation of Bush than a lot of them. They all scored point after point and got out a message of what we are dealing with in this administration. There were lines by all that were tremendous--and I wish I had written them down. I loved to see Edwards cracking up and begging for mercy because they always made him speak AFTER Al Sharpton!! I loved Al bantering with Lieberman claiming that Lieberman just endorsed him. It showed a lot of unity of message. I refuse to get into this damn pissing on it all, all the time because someone didn't agree with Dean. It didn't bother Dean. In fact one of the funniest comments of the night came from Dean when he was asked about not having that many minorities in VT. He said if that was a measurement (or whatever) then Trent Lott would be Martin Luther King!!! These guys energized the whole audience. AND--I know you always go nuts about Fox news anchors, reporters, etc. and I have caught them on other cable network hookups from time to time, but I have no quabble at all with their questioning. It was to the point and it gave the candidates a chance to answer questions that their audience and all audiences want to know about. I thought they were 1,000 times better than the assholes I've seen on CNN and MSNBC when they go after one of our candidates. As far as "Fair and Balanced", I hope from now on we have more fair and balanced recounting of the debates for people reading DU since not all are going to be able to pick up all these debates. GO DEMS - EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!!!
