I just posted about the desperate attempt of the repugs who are spewing "lines of the day" bec * is nosediving in the polls.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php

We listed THEIR points.

Now lets list ours.

My Favorite (isn't really a line: an action
Whenever a repug (like Delay) trashes our favorite candidate, we donate (even $5) to the candidate and THEN email the perp and tell them to "keep trashing bec our candidate will be cashing." I did this twice to Delay.

Ok, other than that one line that I think should be repeated at EVERY available moment should be:

Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and for the coup de gras, and what about Saudi Arabia? 15 of the hijackers were from there.

We have got to inform these 70% who still believe this lie.

edit: usual stuff

1. Sounds good to me but I can't afford to donate $5 every time
one of our candidates gets slandered by the Wingnuts!

I hope the fact that Iraq and 9/11 are not connected finally gets through peoples' goddarned heads.

2. Then try another progressive option like....
Passing out flyers, getting folks registered to vote or just go to your local democratic headquarters and volunteer hours of time.:)

3. That's okay...just say that you donate in your email to the perp.
When they start getting an avalanche of emails, thinking that we are responding by donating, they will shut the f*ck up.

THE DEMOCRATIC MESSAGE IN 2004: LOOKING BACK TO FIND THE FUTURE

by Gloria R. Lalumia

On August 11, 2003, Former Texas Governor Ann Richards paid a visit to Larry King; a caller asked the following question:

CALLER: We all know that Democratic candidates are reduced to basically soundbytes and ridicule in the media. How can Democrats force attention back to the fact that whether it's the problems with the economy, national security, utility and industrial deregulation are the products of failed regressive Republican Party policies…

RICHARDS: Once our nominee is chosen, the opportunity for getting the message out there is going to be much easier than it is now. Because there's so many candidates it just kind of becomes a clutter. But once that nominee is chosen the biggest problem the Democrats are going to have is choosing a single message and not being all over the place. Because of the Bush record on the economy, on medical care, on education, we have such a wealth of stuff that we can use, that I'm afraid that we're going to get too splayed out and there isn't going to be a concise message. Do you understand? KING: You would make it a one-issue campaign?

RICHARDS: Well, no, you don't do that, but you try to select an issue so that it can encompass more than one or two things and consistently drive that message home

Here’s my take on the situation, Ann.

6. Republicans Suck.
OK, that's not a very good talking point. I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Plus, you stole my idea about Iraq having nothing to do with 9/11. However, could it be expanded to "Iraq has nothing to do with Terra?"

7. Red Ink Republicans
Or any other appropriate adjective. Always use an adjective when mentioning Republicans. I like Red Ink but there are too many to list.
