It's over, they were talking about athletes and actors getting into politics, I never knew J.C. Watts was a Starting QB for OU.

4. Didn't Watts renounce the republican party? |
|
Because of the way it treats minorities?

He left the House because he wasn't getting the committees that he wanted, but the party would put him out front in public. Not sure if he actually renounced the party itself, but he did criticize their treatment of him.

For him to admit that everything he believed in was a crock of shit. It would be hard for him to announce that working under Da' Bugman was a degrading experience.
But, it is easy to walk away, and in that is all the information anyone really needs.

7. Hell yes he was and that's the only reason he was elected |
|
He started out on the Corporation Commission, and I have to say it was my one and only time to be tempted to vote Rep....just because he was an OU star. Then he ran for Congress.

if Andrew Walter or Jake Plummer decided to run for public office as a republican I would be tempted to vote for them just because they were star qb's at Arizona State.
