How about those GUYS.  Supporting a Constitutional amendment
to define marriage as between a man and a woman only.  Allying
themselves the the fundies.  They, of all GUYS, should know
better than to join that group of slugs:  the first and most
abiding hatred by protestants is for catholics.  The GUYS
should remember their history, because once the fundies get
through picking off this group here, that one there, the
catholics will be in  the sights, and they won't have many
resources to prevent their own, if not destruction, that
surely second-class  citizenship.

2. As a Catholic, I'm not too worried about it

First of all, a religion has all the right in the world to say who gets married through the sacraments. If the RCC doesn't want to marry gays within the church, so be it. I stand for civil unions -- go to the courthouse and get hitched.
Second, the RCC has enough resources to toss Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, et al, right back to the Stone Age where they belong. Anytime they want a big chunk of us, come on down. Nobody threatens us with destruction. Nobody.
