CSPAN Friday AM — writer of editorial calling for Arafat's death
I am truly astounded by what I am hearing. Anybody else listening? What is your opinion?

1. Jerusalem Post?
Must be al reich-wing Friday C-Span brought to you by Brian Lamb, chief shill for the WH.

2. Why, of course
But it still was incredible to hear someone openly call for assassination so nonchalantly.

3. Talk like this just gives the terrorists a sense of justification
Good people will die on both sides because of loose talk like this.

4. Jerusalem Post is owned by Conrad Black, an ex-Canadian RW
Look at the Americans that run the editorial board of the Jerusalem Post and you will quickly see that this once great publication speaks only for the American neocons, Freepers, and the most racist elements in American and in Israel.

The views of the Jerusalem Post are not representative of the Jewish people at large, in America or in Israel.

5. Both bush & sharon regimes have decreed that they will murder

anyone they wish, anywhere. It is now the practice of the bush regime to seize the families, including children, of those who displease them to "interrogate."

The sharon regime regularly and with the blessings and money of the US, destroys homes leaving entire families homeless.

Very few affluent Americans are disturbed at all by this, in fact, there is a great deal of support for it among the voting element.

7.  "..support for it among the voting element."
Because the image in their minds always associates the Arab\Muslim as a terrorist---therefore any barbarism can be committed against them in the name of justice and truth in the defense of all that is good and decent.

It is a deliberately orchestrated mindset. And here is the disconnect--all the venom directed toward reactionay neo-cons and radicals from the Dems while at the same time cheering for the agenda set by them by through the pro-Israel lobby.

8. Yes, you have crystallized it very nicely

Most voters who consider themselves Democrats will be more than satisfied with putting a Democrat face on the same policies.

9. I have to admit that I have learned A LOT about
the Israel/Palestinian situation in the past few years. The media here has fostered the belief that the Palestinians are terrorists and Israel is just a victim. It wasn't until I went outside the mainstream media and began hearing about the illegal settlements, treatment under of Palestinians under occupation (like border checks and difficulties in getting jobs), and the fact that rocks are met with gunfire.

I'm not saying this makes blowing up a bus full of civilians justifiable, but bulldozing houses and bombing the other leaders is just as wrong.

My opinion now is that both Sharon and Arafat need to be removed — an NOT through assassination — and both sides are wrong and at fault. You will NEVER find peace through killing.

6. I just turned it off
I was feeling ill. How any "civilized" people can call for political asassination is beyond me. And Bush as a breath of fresh air? Give me a break!
