What a crappy day, So long Jack Tripper (John Ritter)
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 08:32 AM by PA-DEM
What was supposed to be a great day for me and my family has been ruined. Me and my kids watched Three's Company everyday on Nick at nite and they loved Jack. It will never be the same again. Johnny Cash brings back so many memeories when we would go on long trips and my Dad would pop open his 8 track holder and pull out one of his many Johnny Cash 8 Tracks. I will always remember the family singer ring of fire. What a crappy day.

1. I watch that show, and my daughter watches Clifford.
He was the voice of Clifford too.
I watch The Daily Show, and then Three's Company. I guess I can still do that, but dang, what a shock.

And Johnny Cash--all I can think about is his version of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt".

:(

2. Believe it or not
This is the last week for Threes company on Nicklodeon. It was previously scheduled to be replaced by Roseanne.

4. Aww crap.
I knew something would have to go, but I was hoping it'd be the 50 hours of The Cosby Show.

:grr:

I hate their stupid double take thing anyway--why not just have a regular lineup?

5. No, he collapsed on the set.
It was some weird, undetectable thing with his aorta.

Cash died of diabetes complications...

7. The news said torn aorta.
I am not a medical person, but this is my understanding of what happens.

A few people have a defect with their aorta in which the aorta weakens so that it develops a bulge (i.e. an aneurism). The aorta usually just keeps increasing in size and eventually tears or blows out like an overinflated ballon. There are no symptoms unfortunately until the aorta tears and at that point it's game over.

The enlarged aorta will show up on things like heart ultrasounds, angiograms etc. and if detected before the tear occurs there are ways of surgically repairing the aorta before it ruptures.

8. Jack AND Johnny? Too sad!
I have never been a big Johnny Cash fan, but I appreciate that he had a major influence on American music during his lifetime.

But John Ritter at the same time? Nobody could shack up 70s style and tolerate eccentric landlords like him.

Goodbye Jack Tripper and the man in black!
