Another moronic U.S. official uses the "noose tightening" metaphor
US Official: Noose Tightens on Iran Nuclear Program
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=584&ncid=584&e=2&u=/nm/20030912/pl_nm/iran_nuclear_usa_dc

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The "noose" is tightening on Iran to prove it has no secret nuclear weapons program or lose its legal right to obtain nuclear-related technology from Russia and other countries, a U.S. official said on Friday...

"This time we hope there's not going to be a way to escape because this resolution is really tightening the noose on them" to cooperate, he said.

1. Well, see, we've got too many terrorists in the Iraq flypaper, see
It's time to hang another strip, so we can sort of, you know, spread them out a little bit into Iran.

And this isn't overreaching, so stop saying that!

6. Pakistan is more volatile
Edited on Fri Sep-12-03 02:21 PM by dutchdemocrat
Pakistan is more dangerous than in Iran in many respects. They already have the bomb, and they have a significant Pashtu/Taliban population in the north that hates Musharraf for the dictator that he is.

But then again... *sigh* the media ignores the issue and plods along with evil Sadaam rhetoric.

The oil must be very important... that's all I can see.
