NYT: Clark Sharks and Dirty Dean Tricks
"Clark sharks
A panoply of Friends-of-Bill can't wait to sign on to Wesley Clark's campaign, should he become the 10th hopeful seeking the Democratic presidential nomination."

<snip>

"And forget about that talk that all the retired four-star general and former NATO boss wants is the veep nomination. Supporters say that's a dirty-tricks campaign pushed by rival Howard Dean who's scared of a Clark candidacy," one source said."

Thoughts on this?

1. Source is Washington Times -- RW Scandal Sheet
Click on the link and there's not one, but two pictures of Ann Coulter's smiling face.

Break out the Grain-o'-Salt-ometer.

3. Mooney Times for one
trying to dirty Clark with "friends of Bill"

Taking Clinton Penis is friendly with Clark and then taken a punch at Dean.

No sounds like Mooney Times 101 to me.

6. Yes
Although I like Wesley Clark, I'm uncomfortable with the support he's getting from the Clintons. I wish they'd both disappear. (Not Clark, Hillary and Bill)

Dirty tricks statement from an unnamed source? a.) I've heard nothing but admiring statements from the Dean campaign regarding Clark. b.) Calling something a dirty trick (redolent of Nixon's illegal acts) is over the top. Having said that, it probably is true that the Dean campaign, along with all the rest, harbor trepidations about the entry of Clark. Perhaps even some resentment. The announced candidates have been slogging long and hard for the prize. To have someone enter at this relatively late date, with support from some of the most powerful people in the party, has got to be a blow.

Personally, I have hopes that Clark will be a great spokesman for the party. If he gets the nomination, I'll wholeheartedly support him.

The entire page could be a segment straight off of Foxx News.
What kind of malarkey is this?

I'm outraged! It is decorated with Vote Arnold for Gov.! The Inside Politics starts right off trashing the DNC, McAuliffe and then the Clintons and Gove. Davis.

My thoughts are.....why are you here?

11. There are truths in this
The Dean camp indeed tried to play a dirty trick on Clark and Clark did not like it. They knew Clark is ready to announce so they were releasing the "meeting with Dean" business to try to make his supporters think he is only interested in the VP nomination. That would mean that a bunch of Clark supporters would say "fuck that and fuck Wesley if that is what he is pulling on us." If they loved Dean, they would be Deanies. They don't--that's why they are looking for Clark. It was a shabby attempt by Dean to plant the seed in people's minds. Clark came out swinging and called him on it. He said it was not true, he is not seeking a VP nomination and he has met with many of the candidates. People who think Wes is only looking to be a VP will not support him nor send him money. And Howard, the honorable, knows it. This guy in his remarks like "I'm the only one who talks to white audiences about racial issues," etc., is playing filthy politics with the other guys and they don't like it. I'm glad Gephardt just slammed him using his interview a few years ago with Russert about what he would do to balance budgets. Mr. Bush the Third said: cut vets pensions, cut ss and raise age to 70, cuts in Medicare and the list went on and on. This isn't what Gep "thinks" he said; Howard said it. Howard has to be the dream of the repukes because he would institute everything they have drooled over for years.
