It's there favorite ploy--introduced by Papa Bush and carried forward. They told us that Kitty Dukakis was a raving alcholic. Over a period of eight years, they have smeared Hillary Clinton and made her into a satanic vampire who will come into your house in the middle of the night and eat your children (and their minions "beeelieve"). They said that McCain's wife was a drug addict (pain pills) and hinted that her "adopted" black child was not adopted (some said she slept with a black man; others said John slept with a black woman). This is the crap these slime go to every election cycle to hide the rape they do to all women and men in this nation. I sincerely hope this does not come down to our candidate having to defend his wife and allowing this to happen to him and allowing the media to focus on this instead of his message. I serioulsy mean that they better come right back with all sorts of crap aimed at the doorknob, Laura and to start talking drinking, coke snorting and AWOL at Chimpy and start spreading rumors that "insiders" report he still has the "habits" (who gives a shit if it is true--they dont). This time we have to fight fire with fire. Better still, maybe we could hit them with something first and then when they attack just yawn and say "just desperate to smear because they don't want you to hear the truth". We can't let the crap happen again. If we do, it's a compiled type thing, i.e., Americans say "I knew it. Those Dems are dirty slime and they haven't changed".

I recall with McCain that when the slime were confronted they said, "oh, gosh, it must have been some over zealous operatives. We will talk to them and discipline them because we take this very seriously and do apologize"....yeah, sure, that's why it happens over and over again. That's why I think some "unfortunate" over zealous Dem operatives should start spreading stink all over the place so that Rove has brush fires to extinguish "all over this land"!!!!!! Kerry and McCain are close. Kerry knows the pitfalls. And I know they have pinpointed the "operatives". In fact, one of the McCain smearers in SC has repented. Said Bush lied to him and his group and now they want to help defeat him in 2004.

Repugs use front groups with Patriotic sounding names as operatives to do their dirty work. That keeps the party's hands clean, although even a cursory look at the finances of the group will show where the actual money is coming from.

We actually don't have any groups like that but it would be easy enough to do.

They really don't have room to talk about anything. I think Pickles has done the least of any first lady. The beautification of Penn Ave is probably to address that. Orin Hatch accused her of having burned a flag--that smarmy bastard said he had the pictures. Of course the story ran on page one. Two days later Hatch said ooops, I guess I was wrong, found on page 36. Everytime I see him snuggle up to the camera so creepy and pious going on about public civility, I want to puke.

Yep...hide the women and don't let your daughters sit on their laps.
