Did anyone catch the "smiling fetus" news today?

Seems the ultrasound has advanced to the point where we can observe that fetuses smile. I don't recall the station but probably it was Fox, since the newscaster proceeded to tell us what this meant: fetuses are capable of emotion and are just like us, etc.

Well now. My fetuses turned out a lot like me, that's a fact. But if they smiled in utero, they stopped right quick when they emerged and didn't crack a smile again for months. :shrug:

But the message. It's just rumblings, more rumblings. A lot of young women don't remember a time when abortion wasn't legal. They're complacent. I remember, and when I hear stuff like this I know where it's heading.

I'm a mother. And I'm religious. But I'll be damned if I'll trust any candidate who lacks a long, consistent track record on choice. Choice will be whittled away state by state, and the politicians who don't fight for it will only facilitate the process.

I don't know about the smiles, but the pictures were extraordinary.

Our ultra-sounds were grainy wavy things. These were like watching a regular tv.
