Cheney on Meet The Press
Edited on Sun Sep-14-03 08:25 AM by liberalnurse
May I be so bold as to make a diagnosis.....He is a pathological LIAR. Oh my God.....Only bind and elderly church ladies would even think he was speaking like the VP of this country.

He speaks with almost a secret-sharing style whisper...Like to a buddy... Tim, I'll tell ya whats going down....Then he LIES.......

Tim politely asks the right questions but never disputes or challenges him!

Too much malarkey to post...transcript will have to be pulled later.

Still focusing on reason of invading Iraq; WMD's but he kept his head down when he spoke...

Said he did not have a clue regarding the departure of Arabs and Bin Ladin family member 24 hours post 9-11.....The man said that there were quite a various diplomats and such that had to depart....something on that affect....

1. did he ask about Prince Bandar?
I emailed MTP asking Russert to ask for details about the prince's mysterious meeting last month with Cheney and another one with Poppy up in Maine.

The spokesmen declined to comment at the time, but MTP is the place where our leaders are put on the spot, right? Where they have to face the nation, so to speak.

6. About the Saudis Flying Out during No Fly 9-12
This story has been KNOWN since back then. G.E. RUSSERT fed him the story with the line that the leaving had been approved by "high administration officials," and asked CHEENEE if he knew. CHEENEE had the shamelessness to say, "I did not." He accompanied this with the KNOWN facial tics for LYING, eyes cast down, and to the left.

He's now saying he has no ties to Halliburton "for over 3 years", doesn't know why there is a no-bid policy for the contracts, and on and on.

About the Saudis cooperating, he LITERALLY sounded like NIXON when CHEENEE said, "They are being VERY GOOD PARTNERS."

No amazed look, "You have no knowledge of the Saudis flight?" Tim is sticking to the list of approved questions.

Russert: (paraphrasing) Were you involved in any way with the awarding of no-bid contracts to Halliburton?

Cheney: " Of course not Tim" :puke:

Since Iraq has no working country-wide communication infrastructure in place and their power is spotty at best, you have to wonder how they came up with their "representative sample".

Plenty of contracts in Iraq.

And Darth Rums claimed on the day he was protested that because of our Iraq-attack there are now "100 newspapers" operating, just gushing with free speech------and none of our CRACK reporters in the audience questioned the reality of this.

43. Who did the poll? - THE AMERICAN ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE
It's called manufacturing information that supports your position and they had people on this week pushing this "poll." One of the questions asked was something like "After which country, would you like to have your government modeled?" The options were

US
Syria
Egypt
and two other governments with dismal track records
other

Oh gee, let me think.

Votes for the US were under 30%. And who the hell are they polling? Do they have telephones in the Baghdad slums? Did they go door to door? Throughout the whole country? With security? Why can't they have any government they want?

Where was Canada on the list? Was it an option?

Yet the phony Iraq attack was based on faked intel, and he doesn't know the thing DU-ers have been talking about forever----the Saudis flying out after 9-11.

So. About his "questioning" visits to CIA ------no, he sez, his QUESTIONS were not supposed to INTIMIDATE the intels into sexing-up the data. Or rather he said he doesn't KNOW of data that was CHANGED from BEFORE his QUESTONS to AFTER the questions.

He said he QUESTIONS all the time. Just QUESTIONS and QUESTIONS. Cough.

Damn that guy is good! Cheney is as good a liar as I have ever seen. Cheney ranks with the very best liars of all time. He's every bit as good a liar as Richard Nixon.

This guy is DAMN GOOD. He is so serious and so sincere. Russert asked all the right questions and Cheney didn't miss ONE beat in lying in each and every answer. He had the pat answer and was so convincingly sincere with each and every answer.

Cheney ranks with the very BEST LIARS in U.S. history. He is at the top.

Damn he's good.

Now, Cheney is saying he misspoke!? They glossed over that one pretty quick. As if it were some dust on an end table. The queston and answer couldn't have taken more then 20 seconds. So, now we know that Cheney misspoke when he said the Iraqis were reconstituting their nuclear program.

Not a single question about the lawsuits against Cheney!

Russert has Cheney for a whole hour and he cannot manage to ask the vice president one damn question about the lawsuits or The Energy Task Force documents?

I guess I should not be suprised... Russert, who is fast becoming the Larry King of political interviewers, let Cheney ramble on and on so as to eat up all the time that could have been spent asking tough questions.

Another insipid interview by Russert.

As I was watching it, that thought came to mind! In fact, when he asked Cheney about the reconsituting of nukes statement Cheney made months ago, I think he even said "You misspoke" - feeding him the answer. Or am I not remembering it correctly. I'll get the chance to verify it since Russert is reaired next Saturday. He either fed it to him or he repeated it after Cheney answered and nodded as he reiterated the statement. Russert must have some severe knee burns after this one.
