Anyone listening to the liar Cheney on Russet?
I wonder if they have the questions ahead of time and practice lying. He has an answer for everything.

for future residents of the VP mansion. They are literally blasting down into the earth at this living quarters...a temporary place of residence for VP's. Does anyone think he is not "digging in for the long haul"? Literally. I realize this doesn't get get much consideration...but only because it IS so fucking terrifying. But you better think about this. Cheney plans on using it. REPEAT! Cheney plans on using it.
When I heard the neighborhood was shaking from the construction blasts, I felt frozen with fear of what is to come. Do you hear? WHAT IS TO COME. Sorry I have to believe this. You can ridicule me when '04 comes and goes and we have a Dem in the white house. But until then, I wake up every morning wondering if this is the day they have implemented the PLAN.

8. I could only take 5 minutes
before the gag reflex kicked in...

How does Timmy do it?

He's not tossing him softballs - he's got beachballs floating up there. Every sentence out of Cheney's mouth is a lie, each one bigger than the last. He's flat out saying there were connections between Al Queda and Iraq - and little Timmy's letting him get away with it.

What's really interesting is flipping back and forth between MTP, This Week..., and Fox to listen to Cheney, Myers and Powell all saying virtually the same thing.

We're at war. Fear. War. Fear. Everything different since 9/11. War. Fear. Fear.

They are so invested in the paradigm that you can fight a "war" against terrorism, that there is really no hope that anything will change. Cheney even said that law enforcement hadn't worked pre 9/11, and that's why we had to take it to the scale it's at. These fuckers are insane. They're fucking crazy.

Six thousand U.S. casualties allready...

Haven't we had enough of this yet? Do they realize the damage they are doing to the national psyche?

18. I don't think they care. They just want to keep power
and this is the way to do it. If they gave a damn about the health of the country (fiscal, mental, etc.) they wouldn't be pursuing policies that put our country's economy at great risk of meltdown

Read the financial worries about foreign investers dumping treasuries, or about the increase in % of new debt (treasury notes) being bought by foreign investors - I believe 58% last year.

And consider: rather than be concerned about record numbers of bankruptcies and forclosures (haven't been so high since early in the depression), they are still pursuing a Bankruptcy bill that is heavily tilted towards industry (lots of protection for industry, but no action on predatory lending practices).

Also consider: the rate at which the social security "trust fund" (re: revenues outpacing obligations) are being spent - accelerating the SS crisis that was already likely to occur without intervention.

That said - they really do not seem to care about this country, nor its citizens, at all. They just want to keep consolidating power, and passing on the largesse of goverment control to corporate funders.

that is their intent. This is the only way to make the public accept their agenda.

16. How does Tiny Tim do it?
Tiny Tim is a card carrying Nazi, er Republican. He's one of the elite insulated from the consequences of the actions of thei Nazi cabal.

Tiny Tim has no kids in Iraq.

I had a nephew go to Iraq and take a bullet in the spine which has left him a quadraplegic for life, thaks to liars like Tim Russert.

F YOU TIM, I HOPE YOUR KIDS GET DRAFTED AND KILLED IN IRAQ--F YOU TINY TIM!

10. Not a single question about...
No mention of his secret energy policy meetings, or the Iraqi oil maps that were disclosed to be part of those meeting, or about the many lawsuits regarding those meetings!

It is the smoking gun!

17. I was horrified watching him
He listed several connections between Iraq and al Qaida that no one has ever stated, going all through the nineties. He said Al Qaida sent peole to Iraq to train in bombmaking. I have never heard any of this crap. It goes against everythin else in print. He talked about evidence of their active nuclear program, citing, documents that have been found, neglecting to mention they had been buried under a rose bush since 1991. He mentioned that they had found two chemical weapons mobile labs, and Tim only said they were "controversial" and then changed the subject. It was like watching someone from an alternative universe. Cheney described an entirely different reality for the facts. I had to keep turning it off, then I would go back briefly and hear some more outrageous propaganda.

I think it is important to remember that 69% of the people think there was a pre-war connection between Iraq and al Qaida. This is clearly linked to the continued support people feel for having gone into Iraq in the first place. The administration has to continue this myth or they are really doomed. I think this is a really important link for us to make.

20. No compassion from cheney
I was horrified watching Cheney and his caviler attitude toward the number of deaths and those injured in this war. These are numbers we expected.......like we predicted this amount and we are right.......

Where was the compassion for the real people who died in this senseless war? My heart breaks for all the loved ones they have left behind.

28. Amb. Wilson is a man of great courage and integrity
and I hope that he hears of this. As I understand it, it was Cheney who sent him to check out the authenticity of the letter! And now, one or more persons have blown his wife's cover as an operative, put her and her contacts in mortal danger, and compromised national security. And Cheney denies even knowing the man?

There are so many actions of this administration that bear investigation, it is at the point of being physically and financially impossible to pursue them all. Maybe that is their defense - making it impossible to prosecute due to the sheer magnitude of the offense!

19. i couldn't take it
either- was talking back to the tv so much, my kids BEGGED me to turn it off-
A few things i noticed-

i was ANGRY that Tim didn't respond more forcefully to cheney's OBVIOUS lies- and then, as he showed yet another clip of the 'vp's' words in march versus the TRUTH of today, and cheney tried to word-dance out of his muck, it really struck me, that perhaps the BEST way to demonstrate what a liar and fool cheney is was to let him speak for himself-

Thinking people could not help but see the man for what he is- and those that aren't thinking people, wouldn't be swayed by Russert bonking him over the head with his idiocy-

The other, and most FRIGHTENING thing i noted, was something cheney said early on, about how the 11th changed everything forever- and that we can't just wait for 'them' to come get us, we have to go get 'them'... i really heard someone saying they were going to kill ANY potential 'enemies' or PERCIEVED 'enemies' in order to 'keep us safe'-

personally, if that is our only alternitive, i'd rather be toast-
becoming the evil that 'we' fear, is a much worse fate than death.

21. What Cheney meant was a warning to US citizens.
If Bushco perceives you as an enemy, you aren't a citizen anymore.

They WILL round up protestors if given the chance. They WILL disappear Americans if given the chance.

They do not believe we're human. Human has a very narrow definition for these people. We ARE expendable to them.

30. I'm Amazed At People's Reactions
Russert doesn't come out and say "You lying sonuvabitch!" He lets his guests make asses of themselves. And Cheney certainly did that. The more exposure he gets, the worse it is for Bush in 2004.
