Sad picture on the front page of my local paper

"Soldiers with HHC 143rd Ordnance Battalion from Aberdeen carry the flag-draped coffin of Spc. Jarrett B. Thompson, who was buried with full military honors Saturday afternoon in Asbury Cemetery, Millington. Thompson, who grew up in Millington and graduated from Kent County High School, died Sept. 7 as a result of injuries sustained Aug. 30 in Iraq when an Iraqi truck struck the truck he was driving in a supply convoy. Thompson, 27, was serving with the Army Reserve's 946th Transportation Company. He was awarded the Bronze Star posthumously."

RIP

1. How tragic!
This poor young man had his whole life ahead of him and now because of Bush's reckless actions, this man will never see his children grow up or enjoy his retirement.

It really makes me mad that brave young people have to die because of this bungling fool!!!! :grr:

2. The just buried a Gaurdsman on Saturday

about a mile from my home in Quincy, MA.

We happened ro drive by it in the afternoon and you could see all of the Gaurdsmen in their military dress.

The deceased had just been married before he had shipped out.

He was my age.

Wonderful fu@king way to die for oil! Mission Accomplished!

Wouldn't you agree Chimp?

5. Several weeks ago I saw a photo
of the mother of a 20 year old killed in Iraq who'd just been buried. Her grief was so palpable it brought tears to my eyes. Plus, I have a 20 year old also. That could have been me. I cannot imagine anything worse than raising a child and then sending him/her off to be killed.

8. Did Whistle-ass give the poor mother a hug?
After all, before the war he said he's the one who has to hug all the mothers of soldiers that die over there.

Has this guy even SAID one thing about the soldiers that lost their lives for his Reagan Re-treads gang and their little invasion?

10. Of course not.
He was nowhere near that funeral. I suspect a lot of mothers of dead young soldiers would spit on him if he tried to hug them.

6. Give me an "F," give me a "U," give me a "C," . . . what's that spell?
On Bill Maher, Jesse Ventura said one thing that made sense. The Bush twins should be over there fighting. The sons and daughters of Congresspeople should be enlisting. The sons and daughters of millionaires and corporate GOP contributors and the media whores should be enlisting.

This is so fucked. God bless him, all the killed and wounded--both Americans and Iraqis.
