DUers.. A Question re "Bring 'Em On"....
Mainstream Media is doing a decent job of counting and reporting dead soldiers "since major combat operations ended". I hear that description all the time.
Have you ever heard anyone say "since President (sic) Bush said bring 'em on"?
It seems to me that that would be a (more) useful timeframe to cite. It would work in conversations, letters to the editor, etc., and remind everyone of his reckless and dangerous comment.
Is anyone keeping that count?

1. There is that word again.
"Major" was added later. Dang it.

4. Thanks for the link.
My wife and I were wondering this morning how many GIs have been killed or wounded since chimpy urged "Bring it on."

5. Thanks Ohio...
I found it where you said it'd be, with a link to BC's source:

http://lunaville.org/warcasualties/Summary.aspx

Excellent site, everyone should visit or bookmark.

(BartCop is excellent too! I'm a supporter ($$) but haven't been to the page for awhile.)

Anyway, I will be using the "since Bush said..." from now on. I encourage everyone to do so.

3. It still makes me sick to even think of
him saying that! Can you imagine FDR or JFK or even Nixon being that swaggeringly stupid? The only good thing about it is that it woke a lot of people I know up to what he's really like and his totally cavalier attitude toward the lives of the soldiers he sends to fulfill his imperialistic ambitions. It also woke up a lot of military families, the mother of one soldier killed soon after he said that even said, "Well, they "brought it on" alright, and now my son is dead because of that cowboy."
