MSNBC Host Gets Bitten by His 'Rat of the Week'

Two weeks ago, MSNBC talk show host Joe Scarborough introduced a guest, attorney Mike Papantonio, to point a finger at the "Rat of the Week."

Papantonio slammed a wood-preserving company called Osmose, saying it makes a dangerous product used in playground equipment and has "figured out how to poison our children and make a profit in the meantime."

What Scarborough didn't say is that Papantonio is his law partner, and that their firm has filed a lawsuit against Osmose. Instead, he urged viewers to demand that the government recall the company's product.

Sorry, you're mistaken. This woman was in her twenties, supposedly
very healthy,an avid runner, etc. Her autopsy was done by a very
questionable pathologist who no longer is employed by the State.
Something very fishy but of course, Joe being a Republican rather
than a Democrat, it was swept under the rug along with all the
other Republican secrets and scandles. Joe is as two-faced as they
come.

I said "possibly middle aged" and as I noted above, after doing a bit of searching I found that she was 28.

I did not say nor intend to imply that "therefore, it was ok. " Please don't read into it anything more than I said. I totally agree that this needs to be investigated. I was simply reacting to the fact that she was not an intern--she was a full-fledged employee and I noted that this small inaccuracy was not a big deal--I'm just trying to make sure the statement is accurate.

As noted above, we should call her what she is--a young woman, not a girl. We would not call a black man of 28 a "boy."

5. Welll, as a person who had a toxic playset in her back yard

and did extensive research on this subject.... I was glad to see Joe speak out on it. Yea, I watch him sometimes and yell at the TV ;)

Much to my surprise that the one decent thing he says on his show, is linked to ulterior motives. tsk, tsk.

*By the way, I replaced my playset after learning what I did, long before his broadcast. But I was shocked to see a Repub speak out about enviromental 'pinko' concerns. Now I know 'the real deal', thanks!

15. One has to ask, does MSNBC have the journalistic standards?

The one that says that ALL potential conflicts of interest in news reporting need to be disclosed ASAP? Or how about the one that says that you shouldn't even be reporting "news" that you are intimately involved with in the first place!? Jeez, I know nothing much about journalism, but I know that.
