I mean, think about it. We have enough talent and people here who would probably be able to help that we could start a progressive magazine! I was thinking it could be called Democratic Underground Weekly or something like that. With all those conservative ones out there like the New Republic and the National Review, there HAS to be a niche for such a publication. Anyone interested? This could work!

posts in a magazine form each month would be good. Many of them need editing and polishing, but should be saved for content.

but if all of us here on broadband were willing to run a linux webserver we could set up a distributed site linked from the main DU page... we could even do this via gnutella, thereby making it a legit political activism tool and rendering it untouchable in and of itself, but I digress... all the main page would need is a script to allow writers to post full articles in their category. Question is- who gets to be a writer?
