FAUX news this morning. A rant of sorts

So this morning I wake up. I'm half asleep. I'm wondering about the hurricane so I'm flipping through channels on DirectTV to get to the weather channel and Fox News is right next to the Weather channel. It catches my eye.

They're giving a list of odd characteristics. "Things to look for" as it were. Turns out it's Ways to Recognize a Suicide/Homicide Bomber". A list of traits. Shifty eyes. In a hurry. shit like that.

In my half asleep state I was just surprised. I thought "whut the fuck is this about?" So they go on and on about how YOU can recognize a suicide/homicide bomber IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. Then they go to the anchor/whores and these guys are talking about how good it is that this list has come out, and how you can't be too careful, it's good to be safe!

I just about gagged, but I hadn't had my coffee yet. THEN they start talking about Howard Dean. I think "hey, I wonder what they're saying about Howard Dean."

They're bashing the shit out of him. Having various talking heads come on and say how he stole this line he used in the debate, it was revealed on that HBO show K street or whatever it's called, that Carville actually came up with the line and DEAN STOLE IT. The line about "Trent Lott would be Martin Luther King."

So they're going on and on about how at first Dean claimed he'd made it up himself, but it turns out he didn't, blah blah blah blah blah ....."

Finally I change the channel. To probably CNBC or some other media whore network.

And by comparison it was like watching the BBC.

Jesus Christ. I felt like I'd gotten sucked into some kind of sewer vacuum pipe.

And I realized Faux hadn't been reporting ANY NEWS WHATSOEVER. They weren't even faking it anymore. It was 100% "BE AFRAID" and "DEAN IS EVIL"

Man, it was a weird way to wake up and I thought "there oughtta be a law about this. These people need to be held ACCOUNTABLE. They are so fucking dishonest, they are lying simply by calling themselves "news" and isn't this somehow illegal?

Why isn't this illegal?

Okay. Just had to get that off my chest.

I think we're gonna look back at Fox news in 20 years the way we look back on the McCarthy hearings today. It's gonna be one of those "I can't believe we let that happen" thing.

That's if it all goes well and America wakes the FUCK UP!!

A good friend and I once sat down with a list of characteristics of serial killers and discovered that we both fit the profile. That was years ago... I don't know which of us is going to start hunting humans first. But rest assured we are both watching each other very carefully and are ready to bring in the authorities if necessary.

I suggest we all do the same with this list - find a buddy and PAY ATTENTION. After all, you wouldn't want your friend to turn into a mad bomber before you had them locked up would you?

I'm sure this plan will work. Most of us will probably end up in jail but then we'll all be safe won't we?
