2. Can't give more of an explanation...
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 09:17 AM by wyldwolf
... guest on CSPAN, speaking of the Clark campaign, says the announcement could come today, there is top level meeting in Little Rock on it today, many Clinton/Gore folks attending, including one un-named but well known journalist who has resigned his newspaper position and is attending the meeting.

One would not resign if he did not have a job (in a Clark campaign) to go to.

20. Conason is in the Kerry/Clark camp.
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 10:18 AM by blm
That's the ticket he mentioned he'd like to see against Bush/Cheney months ago.

8. Isn't Krugman "teaching" at Princeton?
Or was that his old job?

11. That's his job.
He's moonlighting for the Times, and at the level he's at he doesn't do all that much teaching.

He's the brightest light in Princeton's economics dept, though, so they'll most likely let him do anything he wants to.

As one of the leading academic economists today, he would be a very interesting addition to anyone's campaign.

12. All three have their own personality traits
However Carville does have an insider's view of the Beltway that may aid Clarks campaign and he appears to be good at what he does.

13. I don't think Stephanopolous would give up that gig
for a campaign, unless he was on the way out already anyway.

16. Carville is not a working "journalist" - he has no position to "resign"
Besides, he's busy in Venezuela, assisting the kleptocrat predatory capitalists with their ignominious endeavor to take down the legally and democratically elected president, Hugo Chavez.

Slimeball, scuzbag, sleazy sycophant sucker-up to power he is -- he is NOT a "journalist".

19. Looks like a topnotch team!
...serious about winning back the white house. Also it is looking like a Clinton coup of sorts - throwing the muscle of the party's best behind the candidate Clinton seems to prefer.

25. I hope Clark isn't making a mistake
Is Conason (sp) the guy who just quit the Kerry camp??--if so, I noted that he was Gore's media guy. Well, quite frankly: a) he did a stinking miserable job with Kerry; b) he did a stinking job with Gore, too. That election should have NEVER been that close and come down to the mess in Florida. I would hope Clark would not latch on to someone that doesn't seem to be able to do the job. Come on, Wes, don't make any stupid decisions right off the bat!!!
