Thinking about the flak the Rong (right) has about Clinton stumping
for candidates.

There's some complaining (a certain, unnamed fat thrice-married blowhard especially) about how former Presidents usually fade into the background and stay out of the spotlight. This is used against the fact that Bill Clinton has appeared at some candidates' functions, including Gray Davis.

Now, IIRC, didn't Poppy Bush stump a few times for brain-damaged Junior?

1. He meant "former Republican presidents" and "hide in the background"
All the former Democratic presidents have done are silly little political things like attempt to restore relations with Cuba, oversee fair elections in third world countries, win the Nobel peace prize, etc.

Maybe if Republican past presidents had some accomplishment to be proud of they might be more active.
