How many WTC towers did we have when Clinton left office?
How many do we have now?

This is my latest response to the "Bush keeping us safe and Democrats won't" bullshit I sometimes hear at work. I'm usually accused of treason at this point, which people who are just listening to the conversation think is stupid. There is more than one way to get people to realize the truth.

1. Seven then & zero now ?
That's without looking but the other night on the Ken Burns show they mentioned that only the buildings with the WTC logo were destroyed with the exception of the church.

Woah. Holy crapballs. Seriously, I didn't know ALL 7 WERE DESTROYED. WHAT THE HELL DID I MISS? Did they bull-doze the rest cuz of heavy damage? We all know that 1 and 2 were (and those 2,800+ people needlessly killed, grand tall of 3,000+ in ONE DAY, great job Bush, er, I mean, OSAMA...) and I know Building 5 collapsed later in the afternoon of 9/11, but I never heard that the others were wiped out too. Shit! That is seriously F'ed.

"Butt Bush am be kep us safe and Librulz won't" oh you right-wingers, GO BITE YOURSELVES!!!!!!! I need a drink now!!!!!!!!!! Screw it, I need TWO!

31. wtc7 went down in the afternoon
1 & 2 destroyed 3 when they fell.

4,5 & 6 were listed as severly damaged & dismantled.

That's from memory so no quotes.

2. You could also try this one.
"how many guarenteed rights did we have when Clinton left office? How many do we ahve now?" Same tactic with "how many long time allies" "how much clean breathable air"....Well, you get the idea.

4. Yes, the attacks were obviously orchestrated by Bush
To help fill his bank account and that of the VP. I also believe the attacks were carried out not by islamic terrorists but by little green spacemen hired by the CIA because they did such a terrific job killing Kennedy, causing the recent blackout in the northeast, and making us all drink New Coke a few years back.

Keep up the fight my brothers...the Truth is Out There!

6. That's cute.
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 08:10 PM by Ohio Dem
But my point is the towers fell during Bush's watch. Blaming Clinton for this is silly. But they do.

And I always point out that the fall of the Soviet Union was Carter's doing. After all, he was the president before it happened.

On edit: And what in the hell was wrong with New Coke? I thought it was pretty good. But then again, I don't care for Classic Coke. Pepsi for me, thanks.

15. Its not quite that overdrawn
The attacks were carried out by fanatic right wing Islamic fundamentalists. Its just a coincidence that they were trained by the CIA in the eighties to fight the Russians.

But you are right, the attacks were in fact committed by terrorists.

Bush didn't need to orchestrate the attacks.

All he had to do was refuse to stop them.

And he did a hell of a job with that.

That lucky bastard, think how much the WTC attack benifitted him.

8. all of them; none of them
Their attempts to blame this on Clinton are absurd.

8 months on the job. For 8 months Shitforbrains did nothing but focus on tax cuts and taking vacation.

We have never been in greater danger. Americans can not travel in much of the world now. The "threat" of "terrorism" is greater than it ever has been. And it's all Shitforbrains' fault.

12. I think this is more of a
response to Republican lies. And when good people seek the higher ground and leave lies unchallenged, bad things happen. Like another Bush in the White House.

21. That's correct.
I never bring it up, but when they blame it on Clinton, I nearly explode.

I mean, hell. They don't give Carter credit for the fall of the "Soviet Empire" now, do they? They should. He was the President before it happened.

As for being succinct, not being a very good typer helps. I'm longwinded in person.

That's the worst case of failing upward I've personally ever heard of.

They've been systematically educated to AVOID critical thinking. Add to that the corporate consolidation of the media and wammo! Citizen = Consumer!

The "press" was once regarded as the 4th branch of government. Thank god Al Gore invented the internet before it became such a tool.

25. Oh yeah. It's a road I'm willing to travel.
How many deaths? Should the WTC be counted on to defend themselves? Can a naval ship be expected to? An embassy? How many embassies did Reagan lose?

How many of those atrocities happened on our soil? Protecting the "homeland" is one thing that Bush has not done.

The answer to that question is another question: Who are the terrorists that were trained and/or bloody dictators that were armed on Clinton's watch?

It's a good thing there are observant and courageous Dems out there willing to go down that road!
