where she was a guest of the Dean campaign at a fundraiser and her first Meetup.
The Gov. introduced her to all who attended.
It was a very classy thing for the Dean campaign to do.

Guest Writer: The 100,000th Meetup Volunteer
A push of a computer key, a phone call saying I was the 100,000 Meetup sign in and off I flew to Santa Fe to be introduced to Governor Dean and be part of the Meetup!!
The flight was in a 19 seat propeller plane. Instead of being concerned about my first time on a small plane, I was thrilled to meet the man I consider to be the hope for our future. I arrived in Santa Fe and was taken to the walled adobe rental home Tod and Lisa Nichols opened up for me. Within the hour, I was whisked off to meet Howard Dean. As the Governor entered, people stood and he began to speak.
What a presence! He spoke of restoring America's rightful place and moral leadership in the world. People cheered. He spoke of repealing Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy to pay for universal health care. People cheered. He spoke of trade agreements linked to human rights, labor laws and environmental standards. People cheered.
I witnessed Governor Dean's interactions throughout the evening. He stood with people, focusing on them, discussing concerns, listening and joking. As Governor Dean was walking a young Hispanic boy standing in the crowd asked a question. I was struck by the way the Governor stopped, listened and spoke to the boy. Howard Dean is not your typical politician. He is a man with true care and concern for people.
At the Meetup, Governor Dean's commitment to his beliefs was evident. The energy in the group was intense. Not since the 60's and early 70's have I felt such enthusiasm and strength. His call for unity, social justice, fiscal responsibility, cooperation and respect within America and then into the world was powerful. Governor Dean's message is empowering.
Speaking about Bush's programs Governor Dean has said "We can do better than that!" For all of our children and as well as grandchildren we must do better than that. And as Howard Dean has repeatedly said it is through grassroots efforts that we will do better than that.
