The left is more creative. This came to me while playing my XBOX

Madden NFL 2004 if you were wondering which game, but I just realized that the left provides better entertainment than the right in like every facet of entertainment, and by every facet I mean stand up comedy, music, movies, and television, and writing. We have people like Al Franken, Bill Maher, Bob Dylan, Michael Moore, Greg Palast, Hugh Hefner, Eminem, John Lennon, Madonna, and even more. Who on the right is truly entertaining? The only right wing entertainers who are entertaining are Ted Nugent, Britney Spears (some consider her entertaining, I guess), Ann Coulter (admit it, you laugh when she says her bullshit), Dennis Miller, Denis Leary, John Wayne, and several others I can't think of. My list proves that the left is more creative, and therefore more entertaining, and represents a greater deal of the population's preference for not only entertainment, and if one looks at the fact more people voted for the liberals and leftists in the last true election (mid-term elections aren't true elections) my "hypothesis" isn't that far off.

2. he's so anti bush and anti cheney
He represents what the left needs to be too. He isn't afraid to talk shit to someone's face, and he's fairly honest. He's pro marijuana legalization.

9. Eminem has confronted homophobia and anti-women attitudes
in a way that *nobody* else has had the guts to do. Plus, you actually get gay sex skits on Eminem albums - who else has done that :)

When you say he's homophobic and anti-women, you are really missing the point. His fans are homophobic and anti-women, and for the first time they see their attitude lampooned and satirized. It might go right over their head of course.

5. IMHO, it's partially because the left has a better handle on reality
and therefore are more accurate in modeling things (stories, games, movies, etc.) to be realistic and can see through propaganda and can make fun of it. You need to understand reality in order to be successfully creative.

6. Britney Spears is on the right?
Trust me she doesn’t even knows what the right is. She just think we should all trust the president, because it the right thing to do. She is just stupid.

But other then that I agree with you ;)

7. Hmm. There does seem to be some weird correlation, but
I can't imagine why. Maybe it has something to do with freedom of expression and non-conformity.

When it comes to comedy, I'd have to say some of it is our own personal biases, too. I can laugh my ass off when George Carlin talks about Reagan, while a conservative would probably be angry. I know a right-of-center guy who thinks Colin Quinn and Denis Leary are funny, but I think they're both horrible- largely because I hate the actual things they *say*. Well- they're also shitty comics.

I've noticed the same with authors. I've read most of Heinlein's books, and I have to say he was a good author. But when his politics clouded the narrative I found myself enjoying his work much less.
