I'm sure there are absolutely no pictures of Clinton, Carter, LBJ, or JFK being saluted by soldiers. I mean, who would expect the Commander and Chief of the Armed forces to be in pictures with the Armed Forces? </sarcasm>

20. Letters to Stripes each week are highly critical of Bush

veiled, out of necessity, though they may be, though several openly hostile. Col. Hackworth gets hundreds, if not thousands, of low morale letters each week. Hackworth has called Rummy an "asshole." Editorials in even the most conservative of newspapers have asked for Rummy's resignation and have called Bush "incompetent."

If you go to the photo section of Yahoo.com, you will see a plethora of recent Bush/military photo-ops that have obviously been staged by Rove to promote Bush at a time when his popularity is clearly waning. The timing was perfect. Some military members just didn't wish to cooperate.

Hitler was likewise a master of such deceit, whether he was using the military or the church to promote his ends. Nobody is claiming Bush is guilty of plagiarism, but merely of making a good attempt at grasping at straws.

Maybe you do have a point, nederland, but even if there is, I would like to see it.

But, considering all the other similarities between Bush and Hitler, this one stands out.

In other words, Kennedy, LBJ, et al., MAY have had a picture like this taken but then they did not have the PATRIOT Act, a Party-Loyal Sub-Media to trumpet their every whim, a dislike for liberal weakness, etc. etc. etc.

3. i notice 1 not saluting...off to gitmo!

i heard a piece on MSNBC this morn ...about a mother that keeps getting letters from her son begging for her to send MORE food...said the soldiers are all losing weight and are hungry all the time...her son is 6'2" and now weighs only 135....many soldiers parents have same stories and even the imbed reporter said that he has seen the weight loss of GIs himself and many havecomplained about it to him...our soldiers are NOT getting what they need....where is the fucking money going????????

low elbow but lots of space to do it right had he chosen to. No enthusiasm, as you can see. I've seen better salutes between officer and enlisted passing each other on the way to the barbershop.

The right arms of the saluting soldiers cast a shadow. Even if you couldn't see the hand, you'd see its shadow.

The two soldiers facing forward in the audience, on at the top and one on the lower right, plus the sideways soldier second from the front of the photo. Then there is the other security guard not saluting.
