announcement to be made at 4 pm EST?

Anyone know about this? A politico friend of mine who manages some repug websites says that the repug fundraising machine is going bonkers this morning due to some "expected announcement" at 4 pm EST, something having to do with the Repug ticket. Any guesses? Is Cheney a goner?

My friend made some comment that I would either be thrilled or else scared at the announcement... that's why I think it might be no more Cheney--hate the fucker, so I'd be thrilled that he's gone, but since I also think he could be a hindrance to their election, esp. if he loses his appeal and is forced to submit documents to public scrutiny.
