6. That would be Clinton and Clark
back when we had responsible stewardship of our armed forces. :)

4. Don't quote me
I want to say 1 soldier was killed defusing a landmine. I am sure some injuries or deaths occured in non-combat related activities however(I seem to remember a fairly serious helicopter accident).

8. How many suicides?
Non-hostile gunfire incidents, accidents and others.

To be fair, there are a lot more troops in Iraq than Kosovo but those troops were Regular Army, there are a lot of Reservists who never expected to be marched to war under flimsy pretenses.

A friend of mine was once in the Air Force stationed in Alaska where it's dark for half the year, he said that suicides were a problem due to lack of sunlight. Maybe 120 degree temps can have the same effect.

We didn't really send ground forces into Kosovo, it was an air war.

12. if your only goal is no casualties
no matter what, its pretty easy. It did little to nothing to help bring about the purportedly desired outcome of peace in the region but it kept the good guys alive and allowed the combatants to beat each other to a pulp which was their intention form the start.
