My take on Cheney

The lies got piled on too high, and Rove Inc knows they'll be replayed over and over again starting in spring, with national coverage.

Cheney's probably out anyway due to his bad ticker.

They're sticking with him the "dishonesty" baggage, which he'd gladly take on his way to billion-a-year honoraria land, and they plan to bring a woman or minority on board to replace him.

They needed Cheney to legitimize Bush in 2000. They don't need him anymore.

I just can't help but wonder if Cheney's actually going willingly? Could Bush be so f-ing stupid to really believe the Iraq War Lie Pie was all Cheney's cooking, and exits w/ him as well?

If so, he'll lose worse than we could possibly hope for, folks.

I was skeptical a month ago. I believe these guys are coming apart now, and someone stick a fork in Bush 'cause he's done on both sides.

The new attitude is a reaction to something which happened on Sunday. Did anyone watch it live?

5. Meet The Cheney

6. I saw it.

Of course I could only stand watching half of it. Russert kept at him the whole time. Rarely did he second guess him but the questions were direct and pointed. Cheney danced and danced and made a fool of himself, imo. Can't remember too many details, but I do remember Cheney saying Halliburton was the most capable of doing the work in Iraq, but also that he didn't know anything about what was going on. That the ACOE was doing the contracts and that the ACOE knew what it was doing.

On another show, was quite interesting that LBJ and * were shown using the same words to sell America on war. Showed tv clips of both Texans saying the same things, only 35 years apart.

Was a bad day for the White House squatters. They couldn't have gotten much sleep knowing that the press had turned.

4. Cheney's done.....

and he's accomplished his objectives. Look for a either a woman and/or minority to be on the ticket. Someone not too strong because Jeb'll be running in 2008.

Cheney will take one for the team....extremely important to keep Bush looking duped, but clean on this issue.

8. Cheney is going out.

Look for CondoSleeza as annointed VP. Good running mate for 2004 (Rove hoping she will split the black and female voters), but no threat to Jeb in 2008.

11. Truly Paranoid Thought

but a brilliant ploy if they could bring themselves to do it. The lovely, honest, trustworthy CondaChevron Rice? Excellent casting as VP. It would really alienate the Hard Right (but who the hell else can they vote for?) And it would screw us big time by dragging in the big wishy-washy middle who are a little left/a little right.

But it ain't gonna happen. They've been on the outs with Powell since the beginning (well, back and forth and back and forth). But I think that makes him the better VP nominee. He could pull in some of the black vote, and since he's been the internal bad guy (at least part of the time) over Bush's prosecution of our various and sundry "wars" he could pull in the those middle ground voters who don't totally hate Bunnypants but feel a little uncomfortable with him. After all Powell would be a moderating force, right? And no threat to Jeb because he'd never in a million years get the Repub nomination for Prez.

CondaSleeza is excellent casting, Powell is more realistic casting. But no matter what happens Tricky Dick ain't taking a fall for anything, ever.

7. The Energy Task Force transcripts must be dynamite.

The Repugnants probably counted noses (or assholes?) on the USSC and found they weren't going to be able to block their disclosure -- and getting Cheney out might be the only way.

10. What are the chances that

Cheatin Cheney will leave voluntarily? After all, this man has been scheming, conniving, dipping into many pockets for several decades now. He was the Secretary of Defense during the Reagan era.

He's been around for a long time. He's amassed quite a few millions in the meantime. Is he really going to leave because it's now become a Darwin's theory "survival of the fittest at the White House"?

I don't think the man would leave without a fight. Also, it's going to make Bush seem like a cruel monster, to turn the man out. I believe they're going to have to come up with a more "accidental" way of getting rid of him.
