Movie: Hotel Rwanda
Saw it last night and got to thinkin'...

If the USA gets close to "Road Warrior" mentality I could see all the angry ChristoFascists glued to their radios for instructions on where the "liberals" are located, just like the movie.

Hell, they are already primed by all the hateful talk on AM radio.

No tower, no signal, no Limbaugh activated Sheeple Freepers.

6. It already happened. A ClearChannel station directed crowds of
ProWar demonstrators to location to counter antiwar protestors.

Deluded DeLay, sees himself as a 21st century Robspierre openly calling for the Guillotine of anyone opposing. It is only a matter of time before some DommiCon hears the call and sets the fires burning.

7. We just saw "Hotel Rwanda" last night,,,,
Very scary and hard to watch.

1. This is going on in Darfur, Sudan right now and no one is doing much either.

2. I found this on the PBS website Ghosts of Rwanda ~ http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/ghosts/
lots of interviews and information.

One of things they point out is the persons responsible for Rwandan President Habyarimana's assassination is still a mystery BUT the Hutu extremists immediately took power.
And the Radio instructions/information was terrifying to me.

It is going to take me awhile to get over this movie,,,, and,,,,,
I am embarrassed to say that I was not aware of it while it was happening,,,

8. When they start refering to us as...
those liberal cockroaches, look out! First they must dehumanize us...then they can hunt us and kill us with a clear conscious...as was the case in Hotel Rwanda.

9. It was good, but
...the background of the conflict was very limited. Yes the French fascists of the past introduced a kind of racism there but that introduced a marked economic divide in Rwandan society that the movie doesn't even hint at.

12. I saw it last week...
Edited on Mon May-02-05 09:25 AM by Viva_La_Revolution
and cried through most of it. I heard there were lots of scenes they had to cut because the US public can't handle seeing so much reality.

I lent it to a coworker, she and her husand were supposed to watch it this weekend. I'm anxious to hear if it effected them (they're republicans). Then I get to remind them that it's still going on there, and in Darfur and Sudan. And we're still not doing anything aout it, too busy flattening Iraq, I guess.
